“Last week we brought my Chihuahua named Chewy here because she was suffering from heart failure. The shorter asain woman came RUNNING to me at the front door and quick as she could took Chew into the back. We were then brought to a private room within minutes and then called by the head Vet there. She was very compassionate. She clearly explained the facts, and her opinion of the choices we had to make for my dog. We ended up choosing euthanasia. Even though my heart is broken, I am so thankful we came here and not Diamond or some other place. The people here at VCA are incredible and they did all they could, and in the long run I will come back here in the future. I'll also be recommending anyone with an animal emergency come here first if they have an opening. Call ahead because if your pet is in dire straights, they will make room if they are able. Like they did for us that day. Thanks for your hard work and love! 😺 🐕”

“I absolutely love this place! Everyone from the doctors to the front desk receptionists are extremely nice and caring. They always take such great care of our cats and are very fair with their pricing, I am never shocked when I get the bill...unlike a lot of the other vets. They are even great with my cat that can be a little mean at times as well as our cat that was feral. It’s so hard to find a vet that you can trust, so I would highly recommend them. I’ve used both Dr. Epstein and Dr. Wood, and both are amazing!”

“I was ready to put my 21 year old MFT gelding down. He just didn't feel good. Some Cushing's type problems but something else was wrong. We could not figure it out. A friend told me to do the Horse Hair analysis. He was very toxic with multiple heavy metals. I live in an old Mining Town and that explains it. The detox was hard on him at first. Irritable and cranky. I was told to expect that. One year later, I have my sweet gelding back and he feels soooo much better. Thank you Dr. Depaolo and company. Going to get a baseline heavy metal profile on my other MFT gelding. I am so glad I found this and did not put my sweet boy down. I would give 20 stars if I could.”

“Always makes sure multiple times a week, if not everyday, to take time and call each person back to set up an appointment so they don't have to rush on the phone. The owner, Laura, drives directly to YOUR house to take care of your animals so that we don't have to go through the hassle of putting them in the car/dealing with the aftermath. (yes, she cares that much for the animals, and yourselves). She is very good with all of her clients - thats includes both the human and animal clients. ALSO, she knows MANY of the animals located within the Flower Mound area; so, if your animal gets out there's a good chance she'll recognize who the little trouble maker is and return them (it's happened more than a dozen times). Even if she doesn't initially notice (sometimes they're very dirty after running around and having fun), there have been many times she's ran her microchip reader and been able to detect which dog/cat it is. You can tell she really has a passion/gift for what she does, and does it all without complaining. BEST VETERINARIAN EVER!”

My male is terrified of the vet and I have been working with Dr. Kuttle by visiting his office to get him more comfortable around veterinarians. “I've taken my pets to The Colony Animal Clinic since I can remember and they've all seen Dr. Holt. Since he's retired, I've seen Dr. Vera and she is very caring. I've had 3 cats and 1 dog and they've had diabetes, cancer and allergies. When we've had to put them to sleep, the staff has been very compassionate and caring. “My sweet Elvis Presley. Dr Whitworth is one of a kind! She did the MOST of any veterinary doctor I’ve EVER been blessed to come across. She took the time to go ever every detail of his medical record, which were complicated. We sorted it all out, and she offered both expensive, and non expensive treatment options. I had already spent thousands of dollars trying to save my puppy. He was very sick, and wasn’t responding to any treatment offered. She was honest, and loving to all of his needs as we’re every part of her staff. They know me by name, voice and face. The office is clean and very friendly and fast. Elvis sadly, didn’t make it. We had to help him cross the rainbow bridge and his staff made his transition the most comfortable and easy for both myself, and him. They gave the best discount and price the could and the utmost respect. If we ever decide to have another animal, Dr Whitworth will be the only vet we trust. Thank you for loving us, and our Elvis. Recently one of my cats, Melissa had heavy matting and Josh took great care of her. It was a daunting job but he did great. I cannot think of ever having a bad experience at Double Oak Vet and I have been using them solely since a little after they first opened for business so man years ago.
