“I was very pleasantly surprised when a friend and I stopped at the Reef. Not that I expected not good food. But I didn't expect the level of flavors and friendly service we received. Too many times I go to restaurants and the foods just..good. Seldom do I find an establishment where from the first bite, I know they is going to serve a very good meal worthy of traveling a distance for. From the table served hush puppies to the main dish, the whole meal was flavored to perfection in a very warm and almost family atmosphere. I will now put the Reef on my list of must do stops and my place to take out of town guests. Very well done.”

We went for the crawfish. $3 lbs for $15 corn and potatoes.99 cents more, they do charge. 40 cents for butter, so don't have a heart attack when you see it Spicy had a good heat, good flavor, BBQ had good flavor, the mild were really mild (maybe something in the middle) but still tender, juicy and easy to peel. Mix of sizes. Only real concern i have is the single stall restroom, apparently they have an additional one upstairs but from experience i can tell you a single stall restroom that employees use as well is definitely not going to be very functional. However it doesn't lesson my review just an observation.”

“Absolutely the best bbq I’ve ever had in my entire life (and I’ve tried at least half of the joints on Texas’s top 50 list). Honestly, the food here is even better than powerhouses like Franklin’s. Give it a year or two and this place is going to be FAMOUS. If there’s a line, it’s well worth the wait, as you can’t rush perfection. They really put the love and effort into every single plate, and the customer service is second to none. I was especially impressed by the quality of the sausage and brisket. Hands down the best I’ve ever had. I’ve eaten here at least 7 times now, and the consistency is what really impressed me!!!! Definitely recommend to anyone and everyone!”
