We stayed in 3 different town and 3 different Bed and Breakfasts for our trip. Here was our first stop. We stayed in the Butler's Cabin. The next place we went had a jacuzzi in the room and a breakfast. Still when we got back home my wife told me it was the romantic cabin she liked the most. Highly recommend!
We had an amazing weekend staying at the Homestead! Each historic building on the property is beautifully kept while maintaining its original charm. The rooms are very spacious and larger than they look in the photos. The sweet owners keep the room stocked with homemade banana or pumpkin bread, other breakfast foods, and some snacks. The original dripping spring, which the town was named for, is located on the property. There is also a spacious yard behind the houses with a sprawling oak tree. You can walk to shops and restaurants along Dripping Springs’ Main Street. I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a fun, charming, and cozy bed and breakfast in Dripping Springs!
My hubs and I stayed here Friday Jan 12 2018 for my husbands 29th birthday. Our stay was awesome. We loved the room. It was quaint and cozy. The history behind the room was so interesting and made it even better. The owners are the sweetest people. I love that they have such a laid back process where you leave a check when you leave your room to pay. So easy and straight forward. We spent the evening watching one of our favorite bands play in down town dripping springs and it was just a short walk for us to get there. Lastly, we enjoyed that she had the most delicious banana bread loaf there waiting for us when we arrived. It was all around just a great experience and we plan to come back as often as we go to dripping Springs!
Warmly, Kelcie.
adorable lodging in a historic property. don't expect anything fancy, but expect an authentic hill country home. the owners are pleasant to deal with, but everything needs to be done "the old way" - no credit cards or online booking. the location is mostly quiet and close to the main street (Hwy 290), a perfect location to commence a weekend in the hill country.
