“Wake the Dead is not a coffee shop. It's a coffee experience. The atmosphere and general vibe boasts a place to come for a casual lounge experience while getting some top notch caffeine. I visited Wake the Dead, while visiting Texas for the first time. My hosts couldn't say more about how much they loved this local staple. The goth/punk, macabre decoration is a delight. And there's artwork all over from real artists that are available to purchase. They also apparently host events and are integrated into the local community. As a New Yorker in San Marcos for the first time, I was really really impressed. I was made a half chai half matcha latte and it was easily in my top three experiences while visiting the state. Next time I'm in Texas, I would love to just hang out there in the evening, sipping on a glass of wine (which they also sell. Again. But lounge vibes. And I love it) And the people who work there are friendly, kind and diligent. Several weeks after the fact, I called to purchase one of the prints I'd seen on the wall. Whoever was managing their Instagram account helped me track down the artist and got me what I needed. It was the easiest thing Id ever done across state lines. I really Appreciated every aspect of my Wake The Dead experience.”

“It’s a standard Starbucks but, the staff was friendly and did not seem bothered that you came in. I also like that they have the sweeteners, straws, stirrers etc… out where you can get them, not like so many Starbucks where it’s all behind the counter and they act annoyed when you ask for them. If they just start putting the heavy cream back out at the self serve bar I would give them 5+ stars. Lol Overall this is one of the nicer Starbucks I have been to.”

“Excellent 😊 Our first visit was with gift cards from Hope Church for Mother's and Father's Day. The service was awesome! We had the Black Tea sweetened and our son Max got a Frozen Hot Chocolate, the guys got Chocolate stuffed Croissants and I got a giant Cinnamon roll. Max had went up to purchase a coffee scented candle for his dad and they only take cards, no cash, Max had a card and couldn't find a price for the candle. Turned out it was $11.67 more than he had on his card, but Jacob the server, told him "no worries, it was on him" 😊🙏 That was ever so kind, Max had cash, but the guy was adamant for him to take the candle and enjoy his day. ❤️”

“After my first visit to Stopioca, I can happily say that I am hooked! The menu is neatly organized and concise without sacrificing the options you would expect to find in any boba tea shop. The staff is friendly, and accommodating and willing to make desired adjustments to ensure that you thoroughly enjoy your experience. Additionally they have a fair number of snacks for sale in the store, some that you would expect to find in a tea shop, and others that you would find in any convenience store. Overall, Stopioca is a great place to stop and enjoy a bubble tea with your friends or as a reward after a workout. Oh, and try the iced juices, they are incredible!”

“I need to get better about writing reviews for things but I couldn't wait to write this one. Had my husband’s birthday party on their patio. Not only did they make it so easy to make reservations to accommodate 15 people but they were so helpful and flexible when more people showed, adding more seating and even changed our area of seating completely when we needed more shade. Their staff, mostly our waiter Gino, was absolutely on top of it, amazing and fun!! Thank you HG for making his birthday so memorable!! I highly recommend going here, it’s the best place in Trophy Club in my opinion.”

“The Cultural Hub is a great place to co-working space. In the summer of 2019, I used the Hub for a month because being a work-at-home mom with three kids at home was just too hard. Sure enough, during the COVID summer I had to quit working (at first) and then reduce my hours from 30 to 10 per week. I really missed having the Hub as an option. Now that I'm vaccinated, I will re-join the hub if I go back to working more than 10 hours per week. It's a quiet, lovely space with all the comforts of home -- but with the added benefits of a gracious host and respectful, friendly co-workers. I highly recommend it and hope to be back soon.”
