“I have lived at hillside for a little over two years and now I’m about to graduate. I have absolutely loved living here! Maintenance is great, the community is great, and the apartments are comfortable! I started TXST during covid so it was hard to make friends. All the friends I’ve made here at TXST have been at hillside. One of my favorite things about hillside is the spring lake natural reserve area right behind it. I walk my dog every day there. It’s a beautiful reserve! I deduct a star because hillside has pretty bad internet, and on the cottages side the parking is pretty crummy. I ended up paying for my own internet monthly because I stream a lot and do some gaming. Pros: Great community Excellent maintenance staff Easy to make friends with neighbors Comfortable apartment with decent appliances Bus route right across the street (1 min walk from my apt) Cons: Bad parking Bad free internet”

“We stayed in the sunflower ridge cabin in San Marcos. The views are amazing and it’s very quiet and peaceful out there. The hot tub is why we chose this cabin, we did have issues with it turning off every 5 minutes but outside of that we really enjoyed it. I will warn you the bedroom is loft style with a low ceiling so if you are tall this might not be the cabin for you. Overall loved the experience I would absolutely go back.”
