“Mammies offers an amazing selection of beautiful metal art and some of the most gorgeous Talavera pottery I've seen! The owner, Dawn, is so friendly & welcoming. She packaged my talavera cat in bubble wrap and a box so it would make my 1,200 mile trip up north safely ♥️ A must stop for your yard and home decorating!! 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️'s”

“Great park with a nice lake. Well mowed grassy area to play. A few ducks that may be friendly. There is a lot of garbage littering the brushy areas near the water.”

“My son's daycare went to the corn maze for his first field trip ever. The kids really enjoyed going through the part of the maze designed for younger children with a fairytale that developed along the way. After that the kids got to go ride around in one of those train things pulled by a tractor and there are little cars made from those metal barrels where each car holds 2 children. Then we got to sit on a trailer and ride with our children pulled by a tractor on a hay ride to an area where pumpkins were grown and each child got to pick their own pumpkin to keep and they give you the option to buy more. Finally, the kids got to sit in an area with lots of tables and decorations for a nice picnic meal! We had a wonderful time!”

“This camping spot was accommodating to our needs, we felt safe, and it's in a convenient location. We enjoyed the drive-in movie theater nearby. The time of year that we visited the KOA had dead vegetation, hopefully there is more green grass and nice trees according to their pictures. The dog park access was convenient, we really liked this place, we will stay again. Military discount and location near Texas Tech was our main considerations.”

“This is the most beautiful park I've ever seen in Lubbock. Relaxing and peaceful. The day that we went was not cool nor warm weather. It was the best for walking and having a sit. The hearing the Prairie dogs' communication voices were awesome, too.”

“It's a nice place to bring the family. The playground equipment is safe and fun, there's ample room for dogs to run around or play a game of soccer, there's a basketball court, picnic pavilion with grill, and benches spaced nicely for tired parents to sit and watch the kiddos. I took off a star because park facilities need to replace the shade covers over the play area; they're torn and flapping in the wind (also graffiti, but that's not their fault).”

“Older park with an older playground. Definitely needs to be redone but city is more focused on the newer park and not reinvesting in older things. The ball fields are pretty good condition aside from the lighting. The lights need to be reangled so as to not blind ball players during games”

“Greetings, with respects. The services and staff at Resthaven Funeral Home were very exceptional and professional. The details of their services and the pricing of their services were exceptional. I was very pleased with everything, and the graveside service was exactly what was needed, small, intimate, but very casual. There was, however, a tiny error in the obituary listed on the website ( the spelling of Michelle's last name under the photograph, its Larsen, and the date of marriage, 8 31 2000 ) , but everything else was very, very exceptional, Thank you.”

“We really enjoy the shoreline campground, the swimming beaches and all of the available picnic areas. Just wish they provided grills at some of the tables at least. We've only camped here 3 times so far and have seen 2 dumpster fires from people throwing away hot coals on one of those occasions.”

“We had my grandmother’s funeral this past Tuesday. She outlived pretty much everybody, so the service was very small and simple. I didn’t catch the names of any of the employees, but I was very impressed with how genuinely concerned they all seemed to be for our comfort. They were also very accommodating to our wishes, allowing us to stay after and look through the boxes of family photos my grandmother left behind as a family. They also allowed us to watch her casket being sealed in the mausoleum, which I believe is non-standard, but my dad really wanted to witness it.”
