This place is known for its pies and the apple pie and chocolate buttermilk did not disappoint. It’s on the outskirts of Corpus but worth the drive.”

“We just found this little gem. Nothing to speak of as far as decor or ambiance, but after you taste the food it doesn't matter. There have been several restaurants in this spot over the years. I hope this one stays. Obviously a sports bar set-up at one end with counter and high table type seating, big TVs. But we were there for lunch so nothing going on there. And it's BYOB.”

“My experience with the labor and delivery nurses was great. The mother baby recovery nurses were awesome as well. I felt that they did a great job at checking in on me and making me feel like that they did care about my healing process. Thank you ladies. also when I had surgery, the surgery team was very nice and informative. And the guy who transported me back and forth to and from surgery was super friendly, it helped with putting me at ease. Overall I can say that my experience was really good. Thank you.”

“I am a huge fan of "soul food" if you are looking for homemade country cooking this is the place. Pappy greats you with a huge smile. Then describes all the items on the hot bar making you want to get one of everything. I was craving fried pork chops not on the menu that did not matter to pappy he said give me a minute and I will cook you some!! I did steel a bite of my spouse smothered pork chop (so tender you could eat with a spoon) I will be back here for sure.”

“First time going to Clean Hair Salon Studios, and had a great time. Donnie did an excellent job cutting and styling my hair. Had quite the shrub on my head from not getting a haircut since the pandemic hit. They have a good system in place for these pandemic times, with temperature checks, hand sanitizer, everyone wearing masks, personal rooms, and having to be let into the salon. A great experience and feeling as safe as can be.”

The avocado toast topped w arugula is so delicious but impossible to cut through and impossible to pick up to eat. I managed, but it was very messy. The toast might be toasted less as crust was like leather to cut. Or cut it in half for easier handling.”

“Amazing place to spend the weekend. It’s a fairly new location. Its nice and their staff are very friendly. Love that it everyone has their own personal water front location to enjoy fishing or just the water/waves. I also had a personal issue while on site and the staff was so nice, supportive and attentive. They really went out of their way to make our stay the best as possible. Didn’t had a chance to tell them but thank you for your all your help. Would definitely recommend. I’ll be coming back again to this beautiful location.”

Today I had the Mexican Hamburger, with avacado, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, bacon, ham and french fries for $6.99. It was delicious. There is great value and service here. The Ribeye steak is always full of flavor and cooked exactly how I ordered it. This is one place you have to try at least once. Its a little hidden in where its at but the food is great. “Five stars for the food. My wife and I stopped in on a Sunday evening and had a great experience. The burgers (My Boy Blue and The First Date) were well executed. The buns were soft and fresh, and the fries.... Oh the fries! The fries had a crispy exterior and a fluffy interior. So good that we almost ordered a basket fo dessert. But realized that that the hearty burgers were more than enough to fill our bellies. We will add this to our list of mandatory stops when we visit from SA.”

“Great place for breakfast. Stopped here not expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised by the service and taste. I ordered the machacado and egg plate, it was delicious. I was surprised at excellent taste. Their refried beans are on point. Chilaquiles were delicious also, a little on the spicy side but excellent as well. The tortillas were homemade and complemented the plates deliciousness. Highly recommend this place.”
