“I took my sweet Batty there and the staff was so sweet to her while she was sick. It was her first time there. Dr. Mayes and his staff took such great care of her. She had to receive antibiotics and fluids through an IV, when I picked her up, they went over everything with me, let me review Barry’s X-rays, let me question why she needed anything and answered so patiently. They never pushed for me to do anything I wasn’t okay with. All of my animals will go here.”

“Dr. Arend is best veterinarian we have meet. We have been using him for over 11 years he has seen all of my dogs. We brought our 7 month old pitty in for labored breathing. They took xrays and said he had a punctured lung did not know if he was going to make it. Dr. Arend did alot of research and tried a new procedure on him and it worked. The vets are quick to provide solutions that keep elderly animals comfortable so that they maintain quality of life longer. However, I especially value that they don't push unnecessary tests or procedures and will honestly tell me when it is time to say goodbye which is one of the most difficult decisions when a beloved pet has chronic or incurable ailments.”

“My dog got xylitol poisoning. Within minutes of entering VEG with her, the techs were treating her. They were efficient, knowledgeable, and calm. The Dr worked hard making a plan that led my dog to recover. The front staff member was kind and helpful with my children that I had with me. The facility was clean and they allowed us to stay with our dog the whole time she was being treated. I'm so grateful this is where we went for our emergency; their efforts helped save my dog's life!”

“Best vet, vet tech and staff. I don’t say this lightly. We just started going to this vet and our dog broke her leg. They were able to answer all my questions (and there were several) and nursed our pup back to full strength. Not only that but they do not overcharge or offer things the animals do not need. When the vet tech got on the ground with our dog and held her that’s when we knew she was one of us. Best crew. Highly recommend. Chilly is pretty cool too… if you’ve been you know what I’m talking about!”

“I have been taking my dogs to this clinic wonce they were pups. They are now senior dogs. I have to say that my dogs get the best care with Dr Ron. Tonight Dr Ron went above and beyond and met me at the clinic after hours when my dogs condition got worse after seeing an emergency vet over the weekend and my other dog seemed to be getting sick as well. I am very grateful for the care and concern he and his staff provides. I am sure my babies are on the mend.”

“I have used Summerfields since 2018 and I’ve never had a bad experience with anyone but todays appointment blew the others away. The front staff came over several times to talk to my girls and pet them. I felt so seen as a pet parent and not just another patient in the lobby. Then the vet and the vet tech were so kind and handled my problem child with such grace. Just another reason I love this office and their team! They are always quick to sit in the floor to play with your fur baby before starting the exam and they truly care about their patients. It is an animal hospital so emergency’s come through and the wait time for your appointment can be prolonged but worth it for the care care they give. I love their evening and weekend hours too!”
