“Food was delicious here! Service was excellent. Restaurant atmosphere is very fun industrial/modern look and great accent lights. Pricey but worth it for the quality of food. I got the NY Strip and asparagus and my colleague and I shared the Lobster Corn Dogs (a dish that became popular on Master Chef). My friend had the gnocchi which was well seasoned and creamy. Would recommend.”

“While I was alone on this visit, it is clear that this is truly a family friendly restaurant. Lots of shaded outdoor seating, spacious play area (no photos out of consideration to families with children at play), and staff that deliver outside and follow up. As I was alone, I sat at a table for 2 and had some great salsa/chile, and some great Chicken Enchilada Mole. The mole is a little less chocolaty than I prefer, but balanced seasoning, rich and creamy, on some wonderfully prepared chicken enchiladas. The Ofrenda for founders/grandparents was lovely too.”

“Jack Allen’s is an iconic Austin destination. My family has been eating here for years. It’s a great place for family get togethers or just hanging out on the patio for brunch. They make great cocktails and the margaritas are a big draw for my family. I like the Mexican Martini. The food is always delicious and the have a friendly waitstaff that is well trained and service is normally excellent. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Austin you can’t go wrong visiting Jack Allen’s.”

“If you have ever eaten true fine Mexican food, you will love this restaurant. The Pibil is to die for, and the rose salsa with the steak is such a beautiful dish. So well balanced. I can’t believe this place wasn’t busy when we came here! Beautiful presentation, balanced flavors with just the right amount spice. My kiddos even liked their basic rice and beans. We will be back weekly for sure! 🫶🏻💫🌹♥️”

“Some of the best pork ribs I've ever had, and really, really good brisket and pulled pork. The cheesy spinach side is de-lish and a welcome change from the normal, monotonous BBQ sides everywhere. Super chill outdoor seating too. Chef's kiss to Metcalf! 😗🤌”

“It's my definition of flavorful coffee. Every day I have to enjoy a medium iced caramel latte. The quality is good and they make the beverage just the way you want it. It's a coffee lovers paradise.”

“The food here is amazing quality. Everything from the decor in the restaurant to the plating of the food is much improved compared to the past few years. I would definitely recommend this place for takeout or dine-in. Compared to Sap's down the road, this tasted much better, but I think you get a little bit more for your money over there... If I had any complaint, and this is nit-picking I would say their prices are a bit high. Overall a great place to eat!”
