“My husband and I have been full-timers here for the last 2+ years and we love living here. We looked at a dozen places from Pleasanton to San Antonio to New Braunfels and we definitely picked the right spot. I’m told that Nancy opened the park about five years ago and there are some who have been here from the beginning and I love that about the place. You just won’t want to leave unless you have to. Nancy also offers several spots for those traveling through for only days or weeks. If you appreciate the outdoors and peace and quiet, this is your place. Last night I fell asleep to the owls communicating. There is a family of foxes that make appearances from time to time and a roadrunner that lives around here. Nancy has cattle in the pasture that roam nearby. My bird feeders are overwhelmed year round and it’s hard to keep up with the hummingbirds from April to October. Who needs amenities when you have nature? For exercise we walk the long driveway, the park roads, or the pasture. We are only 25 minutes from San Antonio and grateful to be living out of the city, yet close enough to go when needed. You won’t find trashy trailers here or loud partiers. There are some rules and that too is why we love it. I noticed there weren’t any updated posts and I hope this helps others to consider this piece of paradise. PS…I have no shortage of beautiful sunset pics but these are my favorites.”

“The Manger was nice she told me that rarely anyone moves out so a rental most likely wouldn't be available”

“Absolutely love living here. The community is quiet. Our landlord keeps us updated on any changes. It is family oriented and very clean. It is affordable and by far the best place I have ever rented before. I would definitely recommend.”

“My husband and I stayed at this wonderful RV Park for a two and 1/2 weeks. It is located off the beaten path in a quiet country setting. We enjoyed the Owner's Fred and Frankie immensely. They made us and our labrador retriever feel welcome and made out stay memorable. The park is well maintained. If you are looking for a restful place to stay this is it. If you are looking for caring hosts, they are it. This RV Park is definitely a keeper on our list.”

“I've been here about a month and it's been awesome. Growing fast and cabins and RV spaces are all full. Love the free cable and extremely spacious RV space, separated by a semi private fence so the neighbors sewer hookup isn't right outside your front door like most places. Pet friendly and able to put up temporary fencing for a yard so doggos can run and play safely. I also love that it's gated and a police officer lives on site. The manager Jennifer goes out of her way to take care of guests and seems to be doing a great job managing this big place on her own. My only suggestion would be to plant some fast growing trees for shade. I highly recommend this place for short term vacation or long term living!”

“Pecan Springs was sold in late 2021, since then new ownership and management have been working steadily at rebuilding the entire facility. The expected completion is in October of 2022. Asphalt roads will be laid in early October. Management has worked hard to run a clean, modern property. Rules are enforced, grass is mowed and in a constant state of becoming a fabulous place to stay. Whether it be a day, or a year, you wont go wrong!”

“Quiet, small RV Park walking distance to HEB, Taco Bell, Little Caesars, What-A-Burger; and 5 min drive to Walmart everything else.. Jeff is an awesome owner. Most here are long term stay. Reasonable monthly rates, has 30 amp and 50 amp service availability. I highly recommend it if he has a opening since he is so popular.”

“Took the whole family, everyone was so kind. We had spot 3 with a deck overlooking the river. There were improvements happening all around. The clubhouse had obviously just been redone and there were snacks, games and a coffee bar. There were three brand new decks and a huge new hot tub that we all enjoyed. Maybe 5 was a little generous for today, but you can see where it’s going. Everywhere you look there was fresh paint and people cleaning up and the hookups were brand new. The two public bathrooms had just been redone. There was the large meadow and the river, golf carts, a park next door and everyone was so friendly. We look forward to going back soon.”

“I’ve read all the reviews and I’m just not sure why there’s negative comments. ????♀️ The sites are not close together .. There is plenty of grass between campsites. There aren’t any trees around the sites, but there’s nice shade trees on the premises, one tree even has a nice big wooden swing where you can take a book, a blanket and just relax in it while reading. There’s a pond , a donkey , and the lady that runs it , Tonya, is super sweet! The sites are gravel, but not loose gravel .. we , along with other in our group, leveled our campers nicely. It’s quiet, there’s no riff raff , it’s gated after 8 & there’s codes to get in and out. The laundry facility is super nice. AC/Heat , coin machine , sink , a TV ( with cable) and it’s very clean !!! Also coded to get in! We were able to get about 22 channels with our Antenna !! The WIFI is awesome too. !!! The park is 3 minutes from wal mart , you can see it from our camper ! Plenty of fast food restaurants, family restaurants & cafes within a few minutes. Town is very easy to navigate as most everything is on the strip! We will be here for a few months due to work . We travel a lot and Eagle Nest has been the best BY FAR, of places we’ve stayed! We love it here !!! We would come back , anytime!”

“The location is tucked away and surrounded by beautiful trees. People here are kind and caring towards each other, like a family. When humans are stripped of the material items like fancy jewels and clothes, it forces you to “see” one another as a life form. More of the REAL you, not the things we use to disguise and create an appearance. It’s humbling! Not everyone’s cup of tea for sure, but if you’re able to set modesty and being self-conscious aside for a bit, a place like this will help you see life with a different view/perspective. People tend to be more REAL! It’s not a fancy facility, but it’s clean and quiet. There’s a small clothing optional cafe to get some home cooked (and reasonably priced) foods. Hits the spot pool side on a hot summer day! Perfect if you’re wanting to avoid tan lines :)”
