“Overall happy customer. I needed a Raymarine VHF MMSI reset and these guys could do the work. Their quote was reasonable and in-line with sending the radio to the manufacturer directly which is what I would expect from a certified dealership. Every other marine electronic shop in town that was "certified" asked ridiculous sums for a basic reset of my Raymarine AIS and VHF devices. My radio reset job was a simple one and they didn't gouge me for it. Thanks and fair winds”

“I was referred to Dr. Adleberg with the Hampton Roads Retina Center. I had something seriously wrong with my vision, I didn’t know what it was, my eye doctor and I just knew it wasn’t right. Same day, when I saw Dr. Adleberg he immediately knew it was a partial retina detachment. This is a very serious issue, time sensitive, and honestly pretty darn scary. He not only kept me calm and talked me through all of the next steps, he performed the surgery on me the next day. After following all of his recovery procedures and doing regular check ups, I am now being released from regular check ups as of today. I highly recommend Dr. Adleberg to anyone who has any retina issues and I am glad to have him in my corner!”

“Dr Light is a good doctor. He's smart, he spends a reasonable amount of time with me, he listens, he is knowledgeable, doesn't make off the wall nonsensical recommendations that makes his patient scratch his or her head and say WHAT?? And if I don't understand he'll give me an explanation instead of getting all high and mighty and saying "I'm the doctor, do as I say" like some doctors do. And he is able to think out of the box. Unlike many in his profession who just can't. I fully recommend Dr Light. Now. His front office billing staff? Ha. They are none of the above. I had a visit and lab work. I told 3 people that I am on Medicare. They wrote down my info, copied my Medicare card and told me they would fax a work order for further diagnostic testing to the hospital and the hospital would call me. 3 weeks go by. No call from hospital. But I got a bill from the doctor's office and LabCorp saying I owed the full amount because..... they billed the insurance company I had previous to Medicare. I had to go to the doctor's office and explain again about Medicare. They made more copies. They said they'd take care of both bills and this time really fax the hospital. Yesterday I got a bill from LabCorp, past due because they are still billing the wrong insurance company. So back to the doctor's office I go tomorrow to see if I can get them to do what they tell me they are going to do. This is not the first screw up either Dr Light.. Awesome Front billing office. Fire them all and start new. Just my opinion”

“As a used to be student of this school, I say it's very nice. The staff is nice with a couple of acceptions and it is clean for the most part. The cafeteria food obviously isn't good, but I don't blame the school for that. I've went to this school sence I was in kindergarten and all of my teachers were nice except for 1 ( I will not mention names for the sake of that persons reputation) the one thing I would say needs room for improvement is the way they handle bullying. Ever sence 2nd I've been bullied and I've delt with the guidance counselor many times and she did help some, this help was not permanent and the discipline should have been different, unlike the middle school, who has done better in that department. Over all, this school is very nice, it is my childhood and I love it. I am not the first one in my family who went to this school because my grandma also went to it when she was my age, so as you can see this school has been here for generations and is doing its job quite well. All that being said, best of wishes to the staff at hickory elementary and thanks for teaching me, i miss you guys.”

“We LOVE the Great Pizza Co.! We live close by and probably order from them at least every two weeks and have been doing so for years. Everything we get from them is delicious! Personal favorites are the rabbit food pizza (we feel less guilty eating it) and their tiramisu. They are a hard working place and they delivered all through COVID when we couldn't go out to restaurants as we are seniors...(I hate refering to ourselves that way but it is what it is!) “THE BEST : Gibbs roofing is the best roofing co. in the area bar none! I can't say enough about this company. a neighbor recommended Gibbs roofing too me. after interviewing five different roofing company's : some of Wich I saw on TV and were extremely expensive let me tell Ya! I made the choice with Brad "Gibbs roofing". the owner "Brad" is very helpful and is on the roof every day working with his crew that consist of his immediate family members (Gleen and Buddy) and helper Scott. they explain every aspect of the job and are able to adapt to the homeowner's needs. all English here folks! ...when you can't communicate with a crew it makes things very difficult. No rookies here! they have very many years of experience at roofing (properly). they can do all roofing systems and installed the best GAF products available with lifetime warranty on my home of 35 years. they replaced a lot of plywood that was bad from a previous roofer. they are on time, answer the phone, clean, polite, considerate of flower beds and all surroundings. swept my gutters out. I had new grass seed coming up and they even caried all tear off shingles to one spot to avoid my new grass! they didn't even get upset with me watching every step of the job. I am retired, what can I say. they told me: "If you're doing it right you don't mind someone watching you work". beware of roofing companies that say they can be done with a tear off and re shingle in one day, it's too easy to miss the little things that matter, and you won't know till you have a leak...
