“Absolutely love this place! I believe it cost $10 to get in the park. Well worth it though. They have 3 different spots to see the waterfalls that are super easy to get to. One is even wheelchair friendly! I hope the people who were out there on the water get the chance to see these pictures! I was fun watching them.”

“Yesterday, 20 August, at about 1545 hours at the park I saw a juvenile Coyote on the large football/soccer field, located to your right as you enter the park. This Coyote was not afraid of me and allowed me to get within 40 yards of him. Be aware of this as small dogs are a meal for a Coyote. I was with my Yellow Lab, who weighs 75 pounds, but the Coyote was not afraid of us. I called Animal Control to advise of this animal so close to where lots of folks and dogs get exercise.”

“Great hiking along the Difficult Run trail. The very picturesque and tranquil trail follows a robustly flowing stream with a crossing nicely facilitated by a line of large stones. The trail can get very muddy in places, so be prepared if you're heading out after a rainstorm. Lately just about any given day can be described as after a rainstorm, so I would suggest being prepared for mud no matter what. However, as long as you're willing to do some puddle jumping, you will be rewarded with a tranquil hike and ultimately a very nice view of the Potomac River.”

“Beautiful little spot to enjoy fall foliage. You can access the hiking trails along the Potomac. There are cannons from the Civil War and markers explaining their importance.”

“Love the living history and wood smoke of a colonial farm in 1771. This is a picture of the kids militia; they are about to March around. They have some simple food and colonial printing, bookbinding, crafts, toys, and leather goods available at their market fair. Fun for kids and historians all!”

“Great Falls is always a gorgeous hike. This can be a bit strenuous but manageable for even the youngest of kids. There are also flatter trails nearby.”

“Lovely park and great facilities for outdoor tennis, soccer. Enjoyed many games with my son and friend. Nice track to walk.”

“Great way to spend a Saturday afternoon!! Amongst the hustle and bustle of the greater DC area, you have Turkey Run Park. Enjoy a nice scenic run through here. When I was on a run it wasn't that bad but there is possibly a chance for it to be congested. Only bad thing was that some people were very rude and would get in your way.”
