“Dr. Baucom is one of the most wonderful people that has ever walked the face of this earth. She has been my son's doctor for the past 9 years. She's very intelligent, friendly, calm, and her approach is common-sense. Of course, she's fantastic with the kids. My son loves her. I trust her 110% with him and his health. He's asthmatic and has severe allergies and her recommendations for him have always been spot on and quite honestly have likely kept him out of the hospital who knows how many times. If you're lucky enough to get Dr. B for your child, you should do so. Additionally, your wait in the waiting room is never bad... the longest we've ever waited is maybe 15 minutes. Pros: Dr. Baucom is awesome -- smart, honest, easy to talk to and provides a friendly, common-sense approach. Short wait in waiting room. Easy to get an appointment - very accommodating. Cons: Some of the front office staff are unfriendly and off-putting.”

“The care, professionalism and compassion of the Doctors, PAs, Nurses and staff at FMC of Smithfield is beyond compare. The front desk team listens and gets patients in as quickly as possible. I see Dr. Shannon who takes whatever time is necessary to ensure all concerns are addressed; however, between my husband and our children, we’ve been to all the FMC providers. They go above and beyond to understand and connect with their patients and make sure patients within their care know they are valued. Recently our adult son went in for a physical and fainted when giving blood. The entire staff went out of their way to make sure he was comfortable and fully recovered before leaving - to include getting him hydrated and with Kim helping me get his dog back in the car!! We couldn’t be more thankful for their care!”

“We’ve been in Smithfield for 2 yrs & with 2 dogs, finding a good vet was a priority. Smithfield Animal Hospital is the place. The front desk people are fantastic & the vets & assistants are very good. They discovered our older mixed terrier has congestive heart failure & with proper medications he’s still here! Our new boy, a rescued 2-4 yr old beagle has resistant hookworms & we’re on the road to a full recovery. I highly recommend SAH. They’re busy & short staffed like other businesses but they still give thoughtful, thorough care.”
