“I was very excited about moving here just to find out that they did me wrong. On the first day of picking up my apartment key, the apartment was dirty- previous tenants belongings were still in the apartment, roach poop in the cabinets, dishwasher had some dishes and was dirty. They claimed to have had the pest control before I moved in, but they came out again after I moved in and there are still so many roaches- the apartment is very badly infested. I understand that I did not get a renovated unit, but to give a mother with two kids an infested apartment is wrong. The walk-in closet did not have the rod to hang clothes, still waiting on them to fix it. The vent in the upstairs restroom does not work which could lead to mold. The apartment is very nice and has lots of space- Just the infestation ruins it all. I am so traumatized of seeing roaches left to right and this is barely week 2. The website is a lie, they claim to have apartments starting at $1205 but when you actually apply, they claim they don't and offer a non-renovated unit for $1335. Now I am stuck in an infested apartment with my boys for 15 months. The area is calm, parking is not bad either. You get one assigned parking spot only. I do not think my apartment was worth $1335 when it is infested with roaches, has missing rod to hang clothes, and vent not working. I will say that on the positive note- I really like their washer and dryer- very big machines! If you plan on moving here, just make sure that you ask that they make sure the apartment isn't infested and to take care of that BEFORE moving in because once you are moved in, it seems like they do not care. ALSO, I paid my move in fees ON TIME, and I have been receiving nonstop messages that I owe money when I do not. They said that they will take care of it but just received my next month's statement with the "owed balance". They need to be more organized on that part as well. Make sure you keep your paystubs or screenshot payments made online, so they do not try to overcharge. Update: They have fixed some of the issues- they have sent Pest control three times now and I am happy to know that they are taking this seriously. There are still roaches, but they have definitely decreased from when I moved in. They also came to add the rod in the closet although it took a month but at least they handled it. I will be sending work orders for the vents, but I am happy to know that they are working on fixing this issue. I updated it to 4 stars for at least attempting to make things right.”

“I absolutely love Chelsea Apartments! My husband and I have been living here for over 3 years. It's a quiet and safe neighbourhood, almost tucked away. But still conveniently located close to Fort Eustis, the I-64, 7-11, and a quick drive down to historic Yorktown. The property managers are great to work with - Shelly and Jackie are an absolute delight! I've never had an issue with maintenance, work orders are handled quickly. It is a heavily wooded area, so you tend to see more insects around here. It's a trade off for the beautiful trees. Management is good to get your unit sprayed when needed. The price for the size of the units and location is a big plus! We're moving and haven't been able to find anything worth the value of Chelsea Apartments. I would highly recommend living here!”

“First off I want to say the staff was amazing especially rose in the office sarah was great too if anything that’s why I loved the community so much and it was a quiet neighborhood .. if you’re looking for a starter home it’s ok so happens our family outgrew the townhome the issues that we had I feel like it’s above the lady in the office we had pest issues from the time we moved in and so did the previous tenant before us minus that the stay was pretty decent.. they are working on rebuilding a park for the kids which I had complaints about it being unsafe for little children so i’m happy to see that .. they could use a updated system for the ac but all in all ..”

“When my husband and I move back to Virginia from Indiana we will try to re-rent from Mulder Realty if there are openings. Very pleased! My husband and I discovered mold all throughout the kitchen of the home we were paying $1450 a month for, caused by a mistake in manufacturing of the home. When we brought it up to Jeff, he sent his maintenance men over to just paint over the mold with "kilz". I told them that would not suffice and then I demanded a professional mold remediation company come in for an inspection or I would seek legal action to break our lease. Jeff immediately contacted just the right person for the job. I cannot say whether it was the actual home-owner or Mulder who fit the bill, but I can say that they coordinated a professional crew to come in and do almost a total kitchen renovation for us. I was overall very pleased with my experience with Mulder realty. At first I too, along with many other people, thought the front desk woman was rude until I invited her into my home to look at the mold. They saw how well we were keeping up the place and she just adored how I decorated the house. I then came to realize she probably deals with a lot of headaches from people working in rental homes, and that job requires her to just be a little extra spicy sometimes. (Let's face it, we all are guilty of being a little extra spicy at times) Jeff and the woman are very respectful individuals who deserve the same respect. They are very friendly too, whenever we would see Jeff in town driving his jeep he would always wave to us. I come from a VERY small town in Indiana so having someone finally wave at me while at a stoplight made my day a couple times and made the city feel a little more like home. After I finish school college and we move back to Virginia we will definitely be keeping and eye out to see if our home on Galahad is available to rent again from Mulder Realty. Jeff, if you are reading this I hope you both are staying safe and healthy!”

“I am very happy, here what ever problems we had here were taken care of when we reported them and I can't expect every thing to be perfect, but I have to admit my apartment here is pretty darn close, every thing I needed whas provided air conditioning, kitchen appliances and the washer/dryer combination in our kitchen just like in Europe. I have yet to enjoy there amenities yet like the work out center or the pool but I have a feeling they are also going to be awesome. Thanks Tia”

“I've lived out here in Forrest Pines Since 2012 And I Just Love It Here. Never Have I Ever Had An Issue With Anything. The Staff Is Very Nice And WELCOMING !!!! Kai And Myra Are Wonderful And Such A Joy To See When Ever I Enter The Office. Never Had An Issue With Bugs Or Rodents. “Our furnace decided to go out on New Year’s day (Wednesday) so I called Chris Plumbing Services and they were here first thing Thursday morning my tech was great in explaining to me what was going to happen how much everything was going to cost and he expedited my issues so I wouldn’t have to go without heat for a whole weekend. The tech that came out to install the furnace was at my house by 10 AM and had the furnace completely installed by 2 PM I now have heat and I could not be more appreciative.
