“Honestly, I've never had a bad experience with Rick's. I've only ever ordered the chicken Philly and the steak Philly (why order a burger when you're going to a Philly shop?). But the subs are overstuffed with meat, and it's tender, juicy, and tastes great. Sure, the atmosphere could be better, but I'm here for the food, not the dine-in experience.”

“Amazing experience! The guys at the counter were so friendly and kind, especially the cashier. The food is great and good portion size. I had 2 all beef hot dogs, fries and a Coke...on the lunch special. You can't go wrong here! This is a very welcoming place, with GOOD food, at a low price! That's getting VERY hard to find these days! 5 STARS! 😎😎😎”

“Love their NY style pizza making skills. Moved to VA in Nov from the Bronx. It's not exact but it's the closest to it. 24' 1 topping for $16.99. Well worth it!”

“This is not one of those chain chicken restaurant! I have always heard about this place but never went until today. And it was A-MAZING. I got a 3 piece meal with white meat. The chicken was so fresh and real! There was nothing odd about the texture like some places. And the pieces were nice size but not overly large like they had been working out. Even the roll that came with it was delicious with the chicken. I chose fries as my side and yep they were yummy too! I chose a cherry drink that I had heard so much about and my oh my! I am sad I waited so long to visit, but now I know. Now to set the proper expectations, service was a tad slow but that is because everything is back there being cooked like grandma used to do in her kitchen and the food was definitely worth the wait. I cannot wait to try other menu items.”

“They have amazing burgers and the best wings in town. The food is consistent no matter who's cooking! Vicki is a killer bartender who gives off amazing energy and loves everyone! In fact, all of the bartenders are awesome! I always have a great time!”

“Gus’s Hot Dog King was a recommended place from friends. Very popular locally so I went to see why for myself. My family of four ate for right around $30 and everyone liked the food. The kids are picky eaters so that’s saying something. I loved the onion rings and would order the chili dog again. The people working there were really nice. There is inside seating. Inside was full, but that’s another good sign you chose the right place. There’s outside seating. It’s right off of Jefferson so noise from the traffic may deter you from eating outside.”

“Absolutely FANTASTIC experience!!! Cashier greeted with a genuine smile and was very polite and helpful, offering a promotional item and because of her positive demeanor we said yes! Store was very clean and well stocked. Food was piping hot and super fresh. Soda fountain was clean and stocked as well. Sweet tea hit the spot. Store manager even asked midway thru our meal if everything was alright and hot, very politely at that. HIGHLY recommend to everyone!!! 💜”

“Lil's is a great little restaurant. The food is homemade and not some freezer special from Sysco. I had the Reuben and fries on my latest trip. Excellent as always, perfect ratio of beef, sauerkraut and 1000 Island. Fries were cooked perfectly. Beer is also the coldest in town. Served with a frosty mug. The only hit on this place is that it allows smoking inside. Smoke wasn't terrible but as a former smoker, not my most favorite. Regardless, this doesn't stop me from being a repeat customer at all.”

“The flavor is consistent, the portions are generous, the staff are friendly, and jerk chicken is great! My only complaint is that I haven't gotten to try the mashed potatoes yet because they never have them.”

“I don't know if it was because I was hungry but everything was on point. Hot fresh and very satisfying. Even the sweet tea that I was not supposed to have was hitting. A lot of ice and just sweet enough.”

“Been wanting to try for a long time. Was able to and it was worth the wait. Best pizza in this town. Better than pizza hut, dominoes and any other main stream pizza parlor. Only problem is we need one closer in Hampton. On mercury somewhere. That's my only complaint. Keep using quality ingredients and making pizza that u would eat.”

“Honestly the best Chinese food we've had in ages...we had crab Rangoon, schezuan shrimp (plenty of big fat shrimp, sauce and veggies were excellent), and shrimp lo mein. This is for the j Clyde location, seriously fantastic!”

“These ribs are different from all others I’ve eaten & reviewed (in every way but not in a bad way!).These are spare ribs and are cooked differently from the others I’ve reviewed . The server explained that these are first boiled in their spices and seasonings. Then they are put in the oven with the sauce. I requested sauce on the side. These are much larger than the baby backs. These were well seasoned and VERY tender. Due to their size, they were also very filling. The collard greens were the ABSOLUTE BEST. I had some the other day in a different restaurant that I THOUGHT were the best but these collards are even better than those!!!! In fact, they’re better than ANY I’ve had in this area inclusive of all of the soul food restaurants I’ve tried! The hush puppies were hot and fresh. The bottle of SEASONED vinegar they put on my table was exceptionally good. The sweet potato casserole was good too. The banana pudding was fair but neatly made. The restaurant and bathroom were SUPER clean and very well maintained. The staff is extremely polite, nice, helpful and clean! All servers PROPERLY wore their masks. THANK YOU Rocky Mount BBQ for excellent service and a good lunch.”
