“Small 7 table restaurant with the best southern Italian food I’ve ever had. Absolutely a five star experience. Food was fresh and delicious. It’s a weekly rotating menu with local ingredients and set up traditional Italian course style. Portions of the main course were elegantly presented and the perfect size. We had the scallops and flounder mains.(Excuse the forkful missing from the flounder). Christine, the owner, maintains a superb wine list! We didn’t try dessert but will definitely be back to Cape Charles just for Ambrogia!”

“A wonderful classic diner breakfast experience in a quaint neighborhood! TL;DR: Excellent food, prompt and pleasant service, very cheap, coffee wasn't great so get OJ if you're picky about coffee. On our way down for a quick 4-day weekend in the Outer Banks last month, we spent the night near Exmore and found this diner only minutes away from our hotel so we decided to give it a try before we got on the road again the next morning. And boy were we glad we did! My wife and I both went with the breakfast specials, which for $6 offered 2 eggs any style, a breakfast meat (scrapple, sausage, bacon), toast, and either grits or hash (with an option to add fried onions). I went with the sausage and homemade hash with onions with my eggs and toast. The sausage was homemade and had that wonderful snap when you bit into it! The hash was tasty as well and the fried onions added a nice touch. My wife went with bacon and grits with her meal. The bacon was a generous four pieces and the grits were a unique southern compliment! The only minor disappointment was the coffee, which was a bit bitter for our tastes, but after a subtotal of less than $20 even with our coffees, it certainly didn't break the bank. Overall, this was a wonderful experience and anyone passing through the area like we were should stop by and give it a try! We both agreed that we would come back and probably shoot to try lunch or dinner next time!”

“THIS is a really COOL place. We grabbed lunch here on 10-23-22 and loved it. The menu is not extensive by any means (we just got burgers) but it’s not bad. Food was above average. Service was great. The atmosphere is really exceptional. This is an old bank repurposed into a restaurant/pub. There is even seating so you can eat in the old vault. If you are in Cape Charles VA, put this one on your list for sure.”

“This restaurant already has tons of quality reviews, but I had to contribute because I liked this place so much that I ate here three times in one week. Every single menu item we ordered was delicious. Everything. -The crab dip and soft, toasted pita -The clam fritters with old bay aioli -The wedge salad with blue cheese dressing and balsamic reduction -The fish & chips (the most perfect, tender cod I’ve ever had) -The bang bang shrimp bowl (amazing flavor, rice cooked perfectly) -The sesame seared tuna (cooked rare) changed my life, comes with local, seasonal veggies -The scallops were soft, tender, buttery heaven -Amazing sides: basil mash and paprika fried Brussels The waiters who served us were friendly, attentive, and well-informed (Chris and Alex were great). The owner, a nice guy and a hard worker, also said hello and asked if we needed anything. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. It was my favorite restaurant in Cape Charles, and I tried at least six restaurants while I was there. (It’s better and cheaper than The Oyster Farm.)”

“When we pulled up my mom didn't believe me that this was a restaurant, we arrived shortly after opening. Just a regular guy at the bar chatting with the bartender when we entered. We were greeted and seated, friendly service. Our waitress was wonderful. My mom said if she lived here she'd eat here every day, she loved her meal that much. This is definitely a small town staple for the locals and we enjoy visiting these types of establishments when traveling”

“WOW - Pauline, the midwife, is absolutely incredible. We delivered our first baby at MOMS (water birth) and she was exactly what we needed. She knew EXACTLY what she was doing, helped calm my anxiety, got me through the tough times, and I always felt supported by her and her assistant, Millie, who was also very knowledgable and helped keep me mentally and physically in the right place. My labor wasn't easy but they made sure everything was safe and we now have a healthy little boy. I looked at TONS of birth centers and Pauline was by far the best. The delivery rooms at MOMS are so spacious, comfortable, and the jacuzzi was perfect. The room had enough space for my partner, doula, mom and sister plus the midwife and her assistant without a problem. I couldn't recommend this place or this team more!”

“Best dinner experience we've had so far in Cape Charles. The food was perfectly cooked, beautifully presented and thoughtfully crafted. The staff were friendly and professional. We did have to wait a little to be seated, but that is to be expected being there is a nationwide staffing shortage, plus outdoor seating was unavailable due to high winds in the area - neither situation can be helped. They even called ahead to let us know that our seating arrangement was changed. This is a great place to eat for special occasions. Do expect to spend more than your usual take-out meal, it is completely worth it.”
