“Decent park. Playground is geared towards smaller kids. There aren't any swings. One smaller slide and one larger tube slide. There is a large field for soccer and a baseball field. The baseball field appears locked at times. There is also a tennis court down the street as well as a half court basketball setup about a quarter mile down the road from the play area. No restrooms other than a porta potty. Small pavilion area with a small grill.”

“Really enjoyed visiting the home and studio of Gari Melchers. We went on Veterans Day and it was cold and cloudy. We will go back in the Spring when all the gardens are in full bloom. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. It costs us $10 per person which was a reasonable price. Wonderful to learn about the history of a home we frequently passed by for 25 years. Art and history enthusiasts will enjoy this!”

Earthwalk Ways LLC: Institute & Retreat

Park Health

“I love every chance I get to visit Earthwalkways in Fredericksburg. It has been my getaway when I have felt the need of a nature fix since 2009! I've attended drumming circles and sweat lodges many times. I really love the sweat lodges! I usually stay in Darlene's camper accommodation set up out in the woods of her property, I enjoy the rustic nature seclusion, but have also stayed in the main house guest room many times. I've been there during all seasons. I think my favorite was during a time I became snowed in for an extended visit. It was an incredible winter wonderland and Darlene was, and always is, a wonderful host! It has been a place of healing for me that I am so thankful for. Thank you Darlene!”

Stafford Civil War Park

Address: 400 Mt Hope Church Rd, Stafford, VA 22554, USA

Park

“Stafford Civil War Park is a really nice place off of the beaten path. Beautiful trails and the stone bridge ruins are really neat to see. Wayfinding is a bit of a problem though. The only map in the park is not accurate so take warning before taking the trail from the bridge to Battery 3 because it's not clear how to get back to the head of the Potomac Church Road trail from Battery 3. Overall great park though.”

“This course will make you think. You must be willing to hit every club in the bag if you plan to score well here. Lots of risk/reward options from the tee box. Don't expect super fast and smooth greens, this is not an exclusive country club. However the staff will treat you like it is. Great course for the money and you better bring your A game or it will eat you alive.”
