Great park w intriguing biome. Over 20 miles of trails between bald cypress marshes w hanging Spanish Moss and towering pines, and bayshore marshes The trails are easy & moderate; level, sandy, w pine needles. Maps are available at entrance. We hiked 7 miles along Osmanthus, Bald Cyprus, High Dune, Fox Run, Lone Creek, Kingfisher, Cape Henry trails. Love to do this again.
Love this campground! If you are in a tent, the closer to the water, the better. Otherwise, you can hear the noise from the road.
We have stayed in 169 and 186, loved them both. There was shade, a lot of room for the kids to run around and play in the sand. The picture is from site 186.
This is one of my favorite state parks. The beach is beautiful, great for families, the waves are small and good for children. The trails are really nice... Supermarket 1 mile. Great place to camp
We really enjoyed our stay at this campground - the sites are spacious and covered in beautiful trees. You can walk to the beach, and there are many hiking/biking trails right nearby. Saw some beautiful sunsets at the beach.
