This property has a beautiful and peaceful setting, with gorgeous sunrise views, and great sky at night for stars. Very quiet during the day. The hosts could not be more friendly and open. The morning breakfast is a culinary delight, that alone would make it a 5 star experience. The location is relatively close to many different attractions if desired, but also peaceful enough to stay all day and relax. The guest rooms and common areas are well appointed. A great weekend get away or base for exploring the area. Truly a hidden gem.

This place has been amazing, the rooms are lovely, the owners are kind and thoughtful and incredibly accommodating, the breakfast was easily five star quality. We came here as an anniversary vacation which we didn't mention when we booked, after they found out they went above and beyond to slip cupcakes and wine into our room when they did the turn down service. They are both very knowledgeable about the area and willing to share their experiences. One thing I want to be sure to mention is how at home we were made to feel as soon as we walked through the door, it feels less like a hotel and more like going to stay with a good friends. And that's what I feel like we've made here, good friends that I can't wait to come and visit again soon.

Bay Tree Manor is a special place and owners Mark and Paige are wonderful hosts! If you are looking for a peaceful and affordable bed & breakfast in the Yorktown/Newport News area, then this is the place for you. Serene waterfront setting with beautiful views, delicious breakfasts, spacious living area, a large pool and hot tub! But what sets Bay Tree Manor apart from other B&Bs and hotels is the hospitality and friendliness of the hosts. Mark and Paige make you feel welcome and are genuinely happy that you are staying with them. If you just want some alone time to decompress, read or just sit, they can accommodate that too. Superb place to stay; highly recommend!

We chose Bay Tree as our place to honeymoon. A calm getaway to decompress after months of wedding planning, moving,and crazy work schedules. And we couldn't have picked a better location!! Clean, quiet, wonderful hosts, delicious food, beautiful landscape, relaxing pool. Mark's wonderful breakfasts, Paige's deicious desserts, both filled with excellent suggestions for local getaways for dinner. Everything we were hoping for and more! The attention to detail Mark & Paige show for every aspect makes this a wonderful environment for anyone visiting. This is truly a home away from home and we're already dreaming of the day we can go back!

Our stay at the Inn was wonderful!
Mark and Paige make you feel like family, breakfast was delicious and filling, and the waterfront view is gorgeous. We were able to enjoy a variety of wildlife, fish from the dock, and listen to the chanting of the frogs from the large and comfortable front porch.
Our room, the Chelsea Anne Suite was spacious, well appointed, very clean with a great view of the bay ( don't forget to bring your binoculars ).
