“What a great place tucked away in a place that looks like a store. The restaurant is up the stairs on the second floor. We would’ve never stopped here if it wasn’t for our first choice to have an almost 2 hr wait. A new and pleasant experience trying French cuisine. Needed some coaching by our server and she was fabulous! The food was Devine. The other diners were great as well as we had a fussy baby at our table. I loved the decor. My only complaint was the wood benches I sat on were uncomfortable after some time. I suggest sitting on your coat or something somewhat soft. Yes, I would come back.”

“Great Place. A fun, lively brewpub that not only serves a good pour of their own stuff but compliments it with a full bar should you desire a change. The food menu is not overbearing, and there is something for every taste bud, though it is upscale pub food. “Been going here for years, they are open again for in-person dining and it is well worth the experience. They have expanded since the last time I was here! We had the most personable server, who shared our enthusiasm for the mariners. The pizza was classically great, and the baked cauliflower is a MUST. surprisingly light, with cherry tomatoes and a garlic dipping oil. Needless to say, the whole table joined in demolishing it completely. Pair with a house wine or beer, you can't go wrong.”

This was a true farm to fork experience, they explained every ingredient, where it came from and why it played a special part of the meal. They impressively partner all up and down the island for local resources to stay true to the ideas and values they want to bring to life. Our only feedback was the wines came out too far in advance of the courses and they were not presented consistently or with the bottle so we could possibly go find them. Maybe it was a staffing thing, but we never felt they were rushed which was also nice, they had time to chit chat which we always love.”

“Really enjoyed the seafood pasta I got - tons of decadent flavor and big chunks of seafood. The fish and chips were pretty solid, the happy hour oysters and sliders were great, and the clams were yummy although we decided we still prefer their mussels. Definitely gets very busy at dinnertime and a number of people stopping in were turned off by the 35-45 minute estimated wait time so show up earlier, or hope you get lucky like we were. Seemed short staffed, probably due to covid reasons, so be patient with them - the staff are very friendly and doing their best :)”

“bagel factory is the best bagel place in the world. do not let any lower star reviews fool you, bagel factory is the best. I miss being able to watch the bagel machine but the quality of their bagels always makes up for it, and don't get me started on their delicious flavored cream cheese. I wish they had a location on the main land but this just gives me another great excuse to go out exploring on the island on my days off, because nothing beats a fresh bagel from these guys.”

“The Chef's Kitchen Restaurant is open again after two years, and it did not disappoint. The restaurant offers a limited number of seats for a multi-course set-menu meal. The dishes were beautifully presented and delicious! It is hard to choose a favorite, but the thai inspired corn soup, the salmon and eggplant, and the chocolate dessert are all top contenders. My partner got the wine pairing and was quite satisfied with the wine.”

“So, it’s our first time in Langley ad we did not know that there would be no options to get dinner past 8 pm. As we were walking home, we saw that someone was in Luso, so we went in, and we were not only greeted with kindness ( they were technically closed). But Fatima welcomed us in despite it being after hours! She whipped up a delicious dinner of fresh bread and Portuguese meatballs in a matter of moments!!! Our family was amaZed by her hospitality and kindness! It’s the best meal we’ve had! It was a lovely evening that we won’t soon forget!! Thank you! We highly recommend Luso!”

“First time on Whidbey Island, needed a seafood lunch and saw the other good reviews so we stopped in. It was great! Staff was awesome, we ordered the 3 tacos to share, and "magicly" received 4 so we each got 2. The fried clams were outstanding, delicious and tender, not at all chewy and the Fish and Chips were some of the best we've ever had. The tarter sauce is the best I've ever had, I could have eaten it with a spoon... definitely worth stopping in!”
