“Beautiful scenery and we'll paved trail, perfect for walking or biking and everything in between. Usually always good people and daily walkers in this trail. Great place for anyone that comes.”

“Lovely trail with interweaving trails to get you to the peak. This trail is similar in length and elevation gain to rattlesnake but I feel it's a bit easier. There is a main road that you could take horses on that takes you to a small field with a picnic bench. From there to the peak/tower is about the last quarter of the hike. Be sure to remember which trails brought you up because there is one near the tower that branches off and brings you to the mt peak trail head instead of the main parking lot. The whole hike with small lunch at the bench took us 2 hours.”

“About 30 good size shade trees (mostly maples and ponderosa pine) in the two square block park, half of them forming a line along the north side. Very few of the benches have shade so it's good to bring your own lawn chair or blanket. Some spots have decent views of Mount Rainier. Looks like the west end of the park is not used much. The two playground sections appear to be new equipment. The sheltered pavilion with a couple of picnic tables is wheelchair accessible, and there's at least a half mile of asphalt wheelchair accessible trail around and through the park. It's mostly flat, with a decent looking baseball back stand etc in the northeast corner. I see one basketball backstop. July 2022 a single porta potty at the Southwest corner of the park next to the parking lot, last service 8 days ago and overdue. Otherwise, no restroom. Looks like the neighbors use all of the 15 or so parking spaces except the 2 handicap spots, considering that there's really nobody here right now and all the parking is full. Very little shade for parking on the street. Grass is in good shape in the third week of July. Nice 12 ft cedar "totem pole"-style carving by Oliver Nichols in 1971 prominently displayed.”

“This is always a great place to take the dog. It is also great to fish here. I like that the restrooms have always been clean whenever I've used them. The park is very well maintained. Edited 4/29/22 this is still a great park, very quiet and clean except for the few that do not obey the scoop laws.”
