West Hylebos Wetlands Park

Address: 411 S 348th St, Federal Way, WA 98003, USA

Park

“We love this short loop! It's quick and refreshing as the swampland and trees are dense and you can easily forget you're in the middle of town. No dogs allowed but easy for kids, just have to make sure everyone stays on the boardwalk. Sometimes it's a little slick but it's always very manageable.”

Madrona Park

Address: 1508 SW 356th St, Federal Way, WA 98023, USA

Park

“It is what it is, like many Federal Way parks it isn't huge. What is nice is a place to park and take a walk. It's safer to park here than it is at the parking lot on 356th for the BPA trail.. You can also walk south down the dirt path and into Fife Heights a ways. It's also a nice spot to park if you want to walk around the neighborhood to the east. I've done all these with my dog and it's a great out of the way area with lots of directions to go.”

Sacajawea Park

Address: 1401 S Dash Point Rd, Federal Way, WA 98003, USA

Park

“I used to jog 1.5 from my home to here with 3 small children on bicycles. There was a cinder track and a playground on the hill. Perfect for me getting a hard workout. I did memory lane and traced the route from the home, then ran a mile on a modern track. I sent pictures to those little children that now have grandchildren. Cool.”

Steel Lake Park

Address: 2410 S 312th St, Federal Way, WA 98003, USA

Park

“Best place for a day on the lake, there's a massive play structure for kids (with benches for the adults). Alot of picnic benches with little fireplaces at some, so a great place to barbecue, a little swim area for little children, and a dock to jump off of. There is also a ping pong table but you will need to bring a paddle and ball. Parking is abundant, but it is a pretty popular place.”

Panther Lake Trail

Address: 550 SW Campus Dr, Federal Way, WA 98023, USA

Park

“This is a nice .87 mile loop trail around Panther Lake. It is mostly gravel and packed clay with a few wooden bridges and a short paved section of trail. There is a large parking area and a little outhouse. It is a well protected wetland and it is an aesthetic lake, but difficult to get clear pictures due to vegetation. It is excellent to see that many native plants are obstructing the view though, great for wildlife. A cacophony of Chorus Frogs in mid March. Recommend at least one loop around this little lake.”

Wildwood Park

Address: 2315 S 300th St, Federal Way, WA 98003, USA

“Great neighborhood place for nature and a quick walk.”

“Love this park. The grassy field is huge!!! Good place to run out your little ones energy.”
