“I couldn't help but feel I was encroaching as I made my way to the parking lot... very tight squeeze between residential homes. Other than that, there is something quite unique about this little park. I can imagine it being popular during summer. But my curiosity to discover new mushrooms and fungi brought me here in December. Luckily this beautiful little park provided me with a couple new specimens.”

Deane's Children's Park

Address: 5701 Island Crest Way, Mercer Island, WA 98040, USA

Park

“This park probably has the best play structures of all the ones we have been to in the last 2-3 years. There are at least 3 separate areas for the kids to play (which was helpful when trying to stay relatively distant from others). There are also a few covered picnic tables and lots of room for the kiddos to run around. It looks like there might be wooded trails or something further into the park, but we didn’t make it that far with all the other cool things to explore right upon entering. The park is super clean and very family friendly. There was also a free parking lot right in front of the park’s entrance, which was super convenient. I really appreciated that the taller play structures were well-secured— without gaps for ladders, poles, etc. like I’ve seen in many other parks. Basically, I didn’t have to worry about my 3 year old not paying attention and walking, tripping or running off the 2nd story and falling to his demise, which really allowed for a more enjoyable experience for all of us. He also loved the castle theme. The stone dragon was a big hit as well. We will definitely be coming back here!”

“This place is nice to visit for any reason as it has variety of option at single place. Being near to neighbor of Bellevue and Redmond on exit 7 of I-90 while going towards Seattle.. Plenty of parking with multiple parking lots but you should be lucky to get one or just wait for sometime and you get it... Made popular by one of photography group for family photos (we also visited first time for the same reason). It had below options: - Kids play areas - picnic areas - water access with small beach at the end of park - dog unleashed designated areas - trail for short walk with you loved ones.. - washington lake beautiful view - you can launch kayak easily Overall you will love it..”
