“You'll need to make your way part way down the Loop Trail to get here, and there's good signage to point out which fork to take. The trail has some stairs and steeper sections, but overall it's still easy to moderate. It follows the beach for a short ways before ending at the lighthouse. Note that it gets pretty windy along the water.”

“I stopped to look at the Ballard Locks and Fish Ladder from Commodore Park in the morning. I virtually had it to myself. Although cloudy, the channel water was mirrored flat. Everything looked deep green. I also looked at a fascinating railroad trestle that can lift out of the way of ships.”

“Check out the recent landscaping and improvements! This is a public accessway that has been reclaimed for public use by the work of local neighbors, Friends of Street Ends, and Groundswell Northwest.”

“At first I thought it was someone's yard, then I wondered why they put in hedges in the middle of their yard. Then I discover it is a park! I love this place! I take my two dogs, and we love to stand in this lovely nature retreat. You should be aware that you cannot really walk around in it, and only one person can be in it at a time without it feeling crowded. But sometimes I just go by myself and measure the 3 sides, practicing my geometry. If you're looking for a place to stand in Magnolia, you have found it, my friend.”

“It is not a place you can visit, as I was at a friend's house enjoying the view and the friendships.”
