“This is a beautiful park with a decent baseball/kickball field. There are swings and a playground for the little ones. There is also road parking and benches available for sitting. If the field were better kept, it would have been a 5 star rating. Otherwise, this is a solid park and I'll be back for more playing!”

“Took the grandkids (4 & 6) ice skating for their first time. The employee working the skate rentals at the time (Gabby) was an amazing helper with my youngest granddaughter. She assisted her in getting comfortable with standing on the ice & moving around being on the skates. Comfortable enough so she could then go on with the assistance of the scooter. She was great in talking & helping the kids. They felt very comfortable with her .”

“It's a great little neighborhood park, it's just a big field of grass, good for walks and ball games. It would be nice if there was a little more to do here but it is pretty clean and it would be nice if the doggy bags were restocked. I'm just waiting for the city of Tacoma to freaking repave the roosevelt Avenue since they did all the other surrounding streets.”

“McKinley Park is a nice nature oasis in the middle of urban Tacoma. Well maintained trails and a very nice playground. A few wonderful picnic areas and the restroom by the playground was clean. Dogs must be leashed at all times now. Overall a very lovely park!”

“It's very nice now but many apartments lack amenities like air conditioners, dish washers and laundry rooms. Stand by, as they are preparing to renovate, so we will have to wait and see how the improvements stack up.”

“Nice trail close to my neighborhood. Some trash and a tree that fell across the path but was able to do a high step over it. Will be bringing my dogs here to learn to walk on a leash”

“I’ve really enjoyed taking my new puppy to the puppy preschool here at canyon crest. Trainer Michelle did a great job being serious while also having fun, and my puppy got some great time socialist and learning basic manners. Definitely recommend and I look forward to another training session!”

“What a great place to take your kids and your family for the day. There are some great restaurants there and a ton of things to do you could spend the whole day there. I ate at the pizza place one time and I ate at the WildFin place which was delicious. I wish I lived in those condos!”

“Took my 3 year old son to the park and beach today. He really liked the playground, a variety of things to play on and do. It is also a playground not right next to the parking lot and road so as a parent you can relax a bit about the cars and easily catch darting kids. We walked a little of the trail at the park. Loose and sandy gravel. When you get back to the turns in the trail they are not marked but common sense keeps you the correct direction. We walked over the soccer field to the beach. It is a rocky beach where turning over rocks finds crabs. The bathroom near the soccer field was just alright. We did not use the restroom near the playground so I cannot comment.”

“This place has a great view of Cormorants in Tacoma, wa. I go down there at least once week with my wife. She's a photographer and enjoys taking pictures. I am going to upload one of mine, this is a bunch Cormorants in front of the ships along the shore line.”

“If you're looking for a getaway into Washington's mossy, magical forests, but don't have time to drive three hours east or west into our state or national parks, may I recommend Swan Creek? This is a park with plenty to do for those who love to get active outdoors. Mountain biking paths, kids interactive play area and an off-leash dog run. The best part is the secluded trails that take you far and away from the big city noise into the trees down to the river before bringing you back up to civilization. It's a fantastic way to take a break from the day to day when you need a reset with Mother Nature.”

“Always love this park, lots of beautiful changes. The normal entrance to Owen beach is closed to cars and is open only for walking & biking traffic. The entrance to Owen beach is just a few feet more, where the exit only was before is now both entrance and exit. Bathrooms were clean and stocked. Beach very clean. Hiking still as awesome as ever.”

“Love this park. The playground is great for kids of all ages and the splash pad is super fun too. A safe place to have some fun and splash in the water. With a almost 2 year old and a 5 year old they were equally enjoying themselves. We enjoyed a picnic and some playtime!!!”

“Thea’s Park is a hidden gem! Hidden because I almost missed the turn off Dock St into the drive that leads to several parking spots on either side of the drive. Also a couple more spots to park all the way at the end of the drive by the small rock beach. Waterfront park area has a good green space with the large rock at the east end next to The Dock, which adds another place to walk around with a boardwalk on the backside. At the west end of Thea’s is the rock beach, a huge globe surrounded by stones and bricks with names as well as messages, and a tall sign post with “welcome” in many different languages.”

“I've been here a few times. If not then one that's really similar. It's fun over there and I like the things that act as vines, I just call it vines cause I don't know how else to describe it. That's kind of about it for this park”

“This little park has so much to offer. Starting with a kids playground, a covered Pavilion , a wildflower garden, several picnic tables, clean great trails thanks to a wonderful volunteer, Scott Murdock. This man keeps the trails clear safe and beautiful. He is always improving. He has been there for years. If you see Scott let him know you appreciate the work he does. Plus the library is in the same parking lot. A great safe place🌻✌”

“This is a cute park with a beautiful/modern lighthouse to check out. I recommend having a picnic here in the grass or outside tables during sunset, or just in general. As you can see, the lighthouse is quite picturesque - it's a lovely spot to bring a romantic partner or older family member!”

“Everything about this park is cool. Lots of picnic tables and benches to relax on, as well as lovely grassy areas to lounge. Also, walking along the the edge of South Puget Sound is always beautiful, whether watching the boats or the evening lights or seeing our majestic Tahoma on a clear day. It's always a good time to visit.”
