Lime Kiln Trailhead

Pretty long fairly easy trail, took around 2hrs 30min to complete round trip. There isn't anything really cool at the end, just the lime furnace thing from pictures and further down the trail is a river bank. Also there is no phone tmobile service pretty much the entire trail.

AMAZING. I got 2 blisters after this hike but I enjoyed it with my friend pe. I didn’t like that there were wet puddles rn so maybe wait a little before going. I also saw some mice there which freaked me out. If you’re scared of mice don’t go. You can go down to the water at the very end of the trail(which felt like a lifetime to get to). I hope u enjoy as much as pe and I did.

Having not visited this place since November of 2021, I decided to go back to this beautiful trail. It had just rained the previous morning, and I noticed some trees that had fallen a while back. There is plenty of parking available albeit a bit muddy also. This time I went to part of the Monte Cristo railroad trailhead and crossed the bridge at the bottom of the trail which was a bit slick. I wouldn't bring young kids here either. I will definitely be back in the future, and the railroad trail looks really beautiful. There is a lot of historical significance involving this area of Everett and Snohomish county too. Once I got back into town after leaving I picked up a delicious breakfast sandwich and a tasty hot vanilla latte for my drive home. This trailhead is in the Granite Falls area but is part of the Everett WA area.

Great hike that’s not too far (from Everett), it’s fairly flat and has lots of beautiful old growth. It ends/loops around by the river which is a nice spot to picnic and enjoy a snack at before hiking back. There were others we passed on the trail but it was not at all busy.

There are some interesting parts that make it challenging to maneuver. It may be difficult for people who are somewhat limited in mobility.
