Jefferson Park

Address: 3801 Beacon Ave S, Seattle, WA 98108, USA

Park

“This is a gigantic city park with a whole lot to offer. The sheer size of the park makes it a great place to hike or run and it will take a while before you can complete a loop. There are also a playground with big slides and zip lines, tennis courts, a skate park, a golf driving range, a community center, an overlook deck, and lots, lots of space for the locals to enjoy the way they want it. It's pretty calm in the morning and gives me a great sense of openness and freshness. I love it!”

David Douglas Park

“It's a neat little park. However it's set up in an extremely strange way. To get to the park you have to go through a couple baseball diamonds. It's in the center. But it's a nice area and decent place to stop for a bit to call your friends or figure out what you want to eat. However I would not make it at destination to play with the dog or hang out with family unless you live within a few blocks.”

I've seen some gross ones.. but this one you couldn't even enter was so bad.. bright side.. great place a mile away or so.. gas, deli, store, bar.. pool tables.. little tricky to get there, we passed it.. turn at the waist high shell sign! On the left! For those of us walking challenged.. the entrance is narrow.. so not sure how a wheelchair would fair.. it is a very steep hill to get down to the beach area.. once there not to bad, some grass, some beach.. picnic tables etc..”

As well this place is equipped with a trash can emptied as far as I can tell, almost everyday or everyday. Yet people still insist on tossing garbage anywhere they want as well as cigarettes butts. The hiking trails are amazing lots of different trails to follow and the view of the water is excellent”
