Best view around locals say. Well maintained trails of mostly oak, some pine and birch around birthday hill. Vast prairies and winding water way.
Nice quiet area to take a walk.

Brooklyn Wildlife Area is located between the villages of Oregon, Brooklyn and Belleville, straddling the Dane/Green county line about 15 miles south of Madison. Access to the property is from Dane County Highway D, 2 miles east from Belleville and off State Highway 92.

The area offers a mixture of agriculture as well, but remains pretty secluded overall. There are a few slightly rocky sections in some forest sections, but Given the wetlands in the area, there is excellent birding along this trail, especially during the migration seasons of spring and late summer/autumn.
