“Kind of a run down place but maybe that's what keeps the prices good. We were there for dinner on a Sunday night and it seemed relatively busy. The service was only okay. I think the wait staff was also doing the cooking and bartending so they were maybe a bit tired or something. We'd probably go here again though because our sandwiches were good. My boyfriend got the bacon cheeseburger and I got the grilled chicken sandwich. We also got some wings as an appetizer. They have a pretty good selection of beer too.”

“Yola's is one of my go-to breakfast and brunch places in west Madison. No matter what you order, it's going to be delicious. The menu overall is thoughtfully designed, and I love seeing seasonal options pop up as the weather cools down! On top of the fact that the restaurant is hands-down high quality, the staff are so kind and the service is quick (even during a busy lunch hour on a Friday!). There is usually room to find a table either inside or outside without having to wait. The atmosphere is casual and cozy. I could also tell our pizza had been sitting a while even though I got there well prior to the estimate order completion time that the website gave me. At least the pizza was made to order. The breadsticks clearly were not. The place was also pretty filthy when you walk in. Overall not a great experience. Edit: They called me and apologized and offered a credit. That sort of thing goes a long way in my opinion. Adding back 2-stars. Its still mediocre pizza, but if you're ordering from Rocky's you know that already.”

“We were able to get a seat right away on New Year's Eve. This place happens to be right up the road from where we live and what a find it was! The food was excellent and so was our server. We also enjoyed the wine. We plan to return for some dessert in the future. We were too full from our meal to indulge while there! You won't leave hungry. “Solid fish fry. Fried cod > Baked cod > Fried bluegill. But I will say the bluegill was moist and hot. It was the best bluegill I've had in Madison, but that's from 3 places. Definitely a cod lover here (bluegill is just too fishy to me, anywhere). Oh! And get tater tots! UPDATE: 2021 The fried grouper sandwich was great! Grouper is low in "fish" taste and its texture is more chewy (than cod), kinda like pork. I really love their fried cod, but this grouper is definitely 2nd fiddle. Only fish left to try is the expensive walleye, but it's next.... PS. TATOR TOTS”
