“space slam (n.) A slam dunk in which the dunker begins with their body entirely above the rim of the basketball hoop. The theoretical execution of this legendary dunk would unleash such immense force due to the additional velocity of the dunker from the acceleration of gravity that backboard of the hoop would likely shatter on impact. When I foolishly invented the space slam, I could have never guessed that the act of space slamming for the first time would also be my last. The total annihilation of both my wrists and ankles in a fraction of a second has prevented me from ever reattempting this holy grail of stunts. In exchange for being able to see a properly executed space slam, I would be willing to serve as the mentor of someone who thinks they can grant my wish and also someone who thinks they can survive a fall from the railing of the indoor track.”

(Apparently closed in winter and no ports potty, so go before you go in winter) has a trees around a nice kids playground. Several baseball fields volleyball and tennis courts. Some nice walking areas in woods. They apparently have done some invasive weed removal and there is a nice stand of old oaks to walk through. A nice park. Lots of older walkers in the daytime.”

“Breakfast at mckies dairy bar and a walk to this park to work it off is a perfect morning. Mature oak trees with little sections of prairie grass cover this park. It is surrounded by beautiful homes. It contains an 80 foot native American effigy mound, so glad this little slice of Wisconsin was saved within city limits!”

“This is a nice hiking spot. I didn't know this was here until recently and it was pretty hard to find the trail head, it's sort of built right up along a nice neighborhood. I took a wooded trail and a more prairie trail. I liked the wooded trail more. The hiking was not difficult and was nice for a casual walk.”

“I grew up in this neighborhood during the baby boom, when this place had all new equipment that would look like incredibly high quality antique playground equipment today. I bet some of it would defy millennial's ability to figure out how you operate it, since it didn't use electricity. Everyone in the neighborhood simply called it "The Little Park." Fond memories, very fond memories, of the piece of equipment that went around in circles, the other kids (all younger than men) expected me to power the rotation with my right leg over the side, while they all enjoyed it going round and round. This comments are dated, that was a long time ago.”

“Great little area along County D. It's located right next to the recycling center. There's a greenhouse just before it and a Hundu cultural center just down the road. The area itself is pretty small with a decent sized memorial honoring military service members. There's plenty of parking in the lot, but no public bathroom.”

“Awesome neighborhood park! Tucked back, just off of Old Middleton Road. This park has a decent sized kid's playground, tennis courts, small basketball courts, and a baseball field. No parking lot, but plenty of street-side parking. One item to keep in mind, N. Rosa can be a busy street, so utilize Elder Place or Bordner Drive to avoid traffic.”
