Then the cafe was sold to an inexperienced immigrant that tried hard but didn’t really understand the needs of such a business. He sold it to a Korean person who thought he could specialize in his ethnic fare but it was a bad idea and the entire environment was abandoned and everything crashed. No surprise. Such a great concept and first class service that made the CAVU popular lost forever. Thank you Jim Turcott of PDS Engineering for giving us this great little cafe to begin with. “We tried a few different pastries. The ones that stood out the most are the famous crookie which is definitely worth the hype. The strawberry cruffin was delicious and there blueberry muffin is very good as well. The guava danish and a nice flavor but the croissant part was a lil stale and the chocolate croissant has a very good flavor but the croissant itself wasn’t very crispy and fresh. Overall they have some very good pastries, they just sell out very fast so you need to be there early”

“We've been to many Coco Fresh Tea stores all over NY. Bayside location being the most frequent but never had such a friendly experience as we did in this Syosset location. Typically, we find the staff to be rude and deterring ...but these guys in Syosset are so sweet. No attitude. They don't annoyed when you have questions. They've all been so friendly and helpful. It's such a sweet experience we now come here weekly.”

“After driving some beat up roads in our 4x4 Jeep Wrangler, we were sooooo happy to get to Crown King. We took the easiest route to get here and the roads were like driving on a wash board! “Beautiful high quality bakery with lovely kind owner. Went in Sunday end of day, so wasn't expecting there to be much and was totally ok getting day old stuff considering the time. The owner was so nice and let me know which items were too old and I shouldn't buy, that never happens when I go to most bakeries. She really cares about quality of her products, you can feel a genuine love for what she does. She recommended the mango cake that she just finished. Which was seriously the best cake I have ever had. She said she just sourced really amazing organic mangos, and you can taste it. The vanilla bean in the frosting was a perfect balance to the mangos. It reminds me of this expensive mango cake I got in Japan made from their luxury fruit stand in Osaka. Normally I'm a chocolate person, and her chocolate cake was like a chocolate cloud, super tasty, close second to the mango cake. Everything was so light and fluffy and not too sweet. It was too easy to eat everything I bought in one sitting. The cream puffs were also impressive. She recommended I freeze for 30 mins then room temp 5 mins, since these were also just finsihed. The shell and cookie top was.perfectly crunchy and thin and the filling was like really good vanilla ice cream. Also got some brioche with extra butter and dinner rolls. Loved the soft spongey texture and buttery rich tastes, reminds me of what we made in French pastry school. Definitely want to go back earlier when everything is freshly stocked :).”

However, this location luckily has 10 tables with ample seating (2-4 chairs per table) and a booth with 2 tables along the wall. There are at least 10 charging outlets available. This one was not very busy. Quality of drinks are good. IMO, it is still not as nice as some of the other independent Starbucks locations, with potentially cheaper furniture/design and style pieces.”

“This is my favorite bakery in town! I’ve stopped in a few times over the years for bread, stuffed potatoes and pastries. But this time, I needed a custom cake within two days and I really wanted to give them my business, so I stopped in and asked if they could pull one together in less than two days and they did it! I was ready to be super flexible with options but they worked with me to create the cake exactly how I wanted it. The design was perfect and the cake was so delicious!
