“I have worked with Dr. James Bateman for the past several months to rehab a patellar (kneecap) fracture. James was highly recommended to me by one of my Hope Hospice co-workers who knew him through his previous work with Hope’s home health agency. Personally, I hadn’t had much experience with physical therapy despite my “advanced” age, so I wasn’t too sure what to expect; I was very pleasantly surprised. My course of treatment was a long one, as my entire leg was immobilized for nearly three months. James began seeing me right after my surgery and, while I couldn’t walk without assistance, James began by guiding me through exercises that would strengthen my quadriceps and hip flexors – muscles that I would need once I began to walk on my own again. When the bone healed and I was able to begin gradually bending my knee, we continued to work on muscle strength, range of motion, and balance. But just as importantly, James focused on the psychological aspect of my recovery—helping me to overcome my fear of having another freak accident and providing me with the encouragement and motivation to keep working diligently to get back to the active life I led prior to the accident. We continued that extremely effective combination of both physical and mental rehabilitation throughout the course of my treatment. In addition to being a highly knowledgeable and skilled practitioner, James is just an all-around nice guy. Sessions always began with him actively listening as I explained how my knee was feeling and how I’d been functioning; that was followed by his evaluation of my progress and sharing strategies and next steps. It was clear that James believed that his patient’s attitude and understanding played as much of a role in recovery as did his skills as a physical therapist. His approach to physical therapy was that of a partnership. While I’ve now been officially released from PT, I know that I can always contact James should I need anything. I can honestly say that I can do everything I did before the fracture, which was our shared rehab goal. I’m not 100% pain-free and my knee still gets stiff on occasion, but I know I have the tools I need to remedy those issues, and I am confident that they will be resolved with time and with my commitment to continue the exercises prescribed by James. I am happy to recommend James Bateman without reservation!”

“Please use this office! As a dentist, I can say that the word to describe this office is accommodating. I had vertigo for about 2 days now and was willing to try anything. I called on Wednesday and spoke to Laurie the receptionist. I gave her my extremely busy work schedule and of course, I desired to be seen immediately. Laurie asked me to hold on and said the therapist will see you at 8 am before his first patient. I brazenly asked, "do you have anything earlier?" She put me on hold and the therapist agreed to see me at 7:30am. She was so sweet and politely met my demanding schedule. This morning I arrived at 7:28 am and of course, I forgot my benefit card. Laurie said don't worry and looked it up. She made the finances extremely simple and looked up my insurance benefit. Then Dr. Sean Coll came in within about 3 minutes and started his examination. He actually attends seminars on vertigo and was extremely knowledgeable about the subject with the up to date studies on this terrible disease. He thoroughly explained what he was going to do and did just that. He performed an Epley maneuver and in the office I felt about 25% better. I work so close but by the time I got to my office (about 5 minutes later) I was 50% better. I was like, "I am going to have a great day at work." I felt really good. As the day progressed, I kept feeling better and the nauseousness was gone and the dizziness was dissipating as I went through my busy day. It is about 2:30 pm and I feel 100% better. Thank you Dr. Coll and I mean it. Vertigo is a horrific disease where normal day to day habits are made difficult. It directly affects the quality of my life and profession. Again, thank you Laurie for being polite and accommodating. And thank you Dr. Coll for coming in early just for me on your day off and meeting me for a follow up visit on Monday at 7:30 am. I would not hesitate to recommend this office to anyone due to the politeness, understanding and competency of the doctor and staff. Thank you again because my vertigo is gone. Joseph R. “Beyond words..... Robert Klingman and his dedicated crew of physical therapists at Movement For Life cannot be described easily. Every single one of the employees and physical therapists that I have encountered in my first 4 PT visits are skilled, personable, and friendly. Their patients cannot wait for their next PT session, as do I, because I leave feeling that I am on the mend and healing. Truthfully. You should be so fortunate to find such a staff with a leader like Robert wherever you live. Search well, they're out there.....”

“I was skeptical going to physical therapy yet again because I had been to 3 other different therapy providers, not Penn affiliated, and nothing they did helped relieve my pain. Rich Winters knew I was skeptical on my initial consultation and understood why I was, but asked me to give him a chance. He listened to every word I had to say, explained why each step was important and walked me though everything. After the third visit, I was feeling much better and was amazed how he was able to locate and treat my issue that no one else was able to over MANY visits to physical therapy. I feel like a whole new person and still can't believe it to this day how I feel. I told many people, if you need physical therapy go to Good Shepard in Levittown! If I ever need physical therapy again I would go back to this location in a heart beat. The staff is amazing and very welcoming. Thank you Good Shepard!!”

“Tony and his team at the Gulf Shore Physical Therapy Center are the best. They have been helping me with my total hip replacement for the past 4 weeks and I am amazed at the results I have received so far. I have been to other physical therapy places in the past and never received this kind of treatment. The staff is very kind and the therapists are extremely knowledgeable on what you need to do to get the best results. The center is also fully equipped with all the necessary equipment to give you the best treatment for whatever your therapy needs may be. I highly suggest that anyone in need of physical therapy to give them a call and schedule their therapy sessions there.”
