The People Were Friendly, Even The Scenery Was The Best.Today was Amazing Weather to Visit. I'm From Waukegan Illinois, And I Took The Robert Mcclory Bike path / North Shore Bike path, And Took The Skokie Valley Bike Trail, All The Way Here. I've had an Amazing Experience Here! “We had a lovely time today. There are at least 4 miles of well-maintained trails. The visitor center was open and available for a self-guided tour. Both restrooms and water fountains are available. The entry fee is $3 and cash only, and there is plenty of parking. The park ranger provided us with maps, so we had no problem finding the historic fort site. We didn't see much wildlife apart from an armadillo, birds, and squirrels. However, the trails were very quiet and peaceful, and the wildflowers were lovely. I would not recommend these trails for people with wheel chairs or strollers.”

“This is a nice park with the lake and two playground sets. It has lots of tables and benches to eat lunch. It was very windy on one side of the lake but not windy on the other side. I came to this park before and I really enjoy it. It has a trail around the lake and in one spot there’s a mailbox where people can leave encouraging messages for others. When we arrived there were carriages with horses. I wonder what they were doing there. The lady was very nice and let us pet her horse.”

“This lake being for non-motorized watercraft is a big perk for me. The lake was pretty and still when I went, and the park seemed expansive and in fairly good shape. If you are planning to launch a boat, this is the spot you need to enter into your maps- for now, anyways; edit pending- as entering “Powers Lake” will probably take you a spot in the suburbs around the lake”

“This is one of the smaller trail heads into the salt springs. The trail head itself is extremely easy to access. The trail was beautiful and before I knew it I was gazing into a Florida jungle. In all it’s a small loop and an amazing get away just off of the highway.”

“Came home one night to find a big black snake in the middle of my basement floor. I called 5 plus different 24 hour pest control companies before I called Antex Pro all of which said they could be out in a couple of days. What good is that gonna do me I need help now. Antex Pro took my call was at my home in an hour found the snake safely got it out of my home found where it came in from and sealed the entry hole. I know who to call next time.”

“As far as the fields go, they're great! Weather, well, what can you expect in San Francisco -- come prepared (with layers), unless you're a player, then get ready to sweat! LOL. But, what is a huge concern -- at the peak of the (soccer) playing season you'll be hard-pressed to find a spot unless you're driving a smart car or something small, and even then it is a challenge. A nice enough place that was updated and a popular place to kick the balls around... #TheBrokerWithAHeart”

“Fabulous hiking. Well maintained. Huge trees. Great hiking paths in the shade. Just a fabulous park for hikes and gatherings. They charge an entrance fee of $8 but it pays for the upkeep of the park clearly and the money is well spent. Good for kids and sports as it has playgrounds and picnic areas.”

“Playground was great. My son loved it. It was clean lots to do. The grass is in a desperate need of a mow and it appears the splash pad doesn’t work as the sensor was removed and a wire was exposed) which is why I removed a star. Overall a good family friendly place to go.”

“This is a great place to train your dog! This is a wonderful place to come train as a team in a quiet environment that's open to the Colorado sky and the beautiful, hilly surroundings. They have several pieces of sturdy agility equipment to practice on. This is a training area, so no benches inside! There is a small area for smaller dogs and a slightly larger area for bigger dogs. Space is limited in either lot. There are jugs provided to store water in (they may be empty, there is no fountain, make sure to bring water!), trash cans, disposable bags, and a community board. This place is also under surveillance. As of right now, the surrounding area is under construction, new apartment complexes, sidewalks, and other projects. Aside from the distant noise of a drill or hammer, this is a quiet, upscale community and area overall. Even in the middle of the day, it seemed as if we had the place completely to ourselves!”

“Quiet park most movement in the early morning and sunset. Great playground for the kids. Pet friendly, there is one outdoor table and one water fountain and some open space that are mostly used for dogs to run or to relieve themselves. I always pick up after my pup but always seems to find surprises left by others so check your shoes if you decide to cut through the grass. The park is landscaped pretty well for the most part of the year. It's a community park so first come first serve no rentals or soliciting. It's not fully gated and the afternoon seems to be the busiest time with the spill out from the elementary schools.”

“4.20.24 - Burgers and Beer had great tastings of both. I was able to sing along with just about every song. The grounds again were maintained during the event. Nice job by the event organizers and county, except for the ants. For the few events I've attended, changing areas for the vendors' booths was odd. ******* Beer festival was fun. Recently parked and rode my bicycle from there. The facility is well kept with clean bathrooms. Blues and Bourbon Festival had great entertainment, excellent Bourbon tasting, and plenty of choices eat. Perhaps a little more volume for the musicians could be allowed, and also, the MC could not be heard. There was ample seating, and the crew keeping the grounds clean did a great job. As more of these events take place, the turf grass should be maintained more aggressively. It's not going to be as nice if it turns to just dirt.”
