“Apricots and berries! The farmer is very friendly and full of stories about the crops and advice. Pick your own. Weigh it. Pay in cash in a red, locked drop box (can not make change) or Venmo. Don't bring your dog. Do look for wildlife. We saw a beautiful garter snake while we were walking back from the apricot trees”

“A great local park with two different sized playgrounds, a full basketball court, a half court, a sand volleyball court, and a nice walking path with hills. There are bathrooms and they aren't super terrible for a public park. I just wish they had lights for the basketball court because it's the closest full court within two miles.”

“I cannot speak highly enough about my experience at Saint Francis of the Woods. I attended the Wildflower Festival this June and had a fantastic time. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. There are about 2 miles of walking trails and the whole place is teeming with wildlife and native flowers and plants that are well cared for. Most importantly, the hospitality offered by Brad and Katherine during my stay is unmatched. They made me feel so welcome, and their hard work and upkeep of the place are truly appreciated. I was sad to leave and look forward to returning. It's a perfect place to visit for the day, or rent a cabin and relax in secluded serenity. I'm so grateful that this place exists in Oklahoma!”

“This is my special place. I walk there almost everyday. Once around the trail is about 1.4 miles. There are also picnic tables, beaches, even complimentary life jackets hanging out for kids or even adults. (Please return them where you found them). Swimming areas are roped off for your safety. People often fish off the sides of the walking trails. There are swings to relax. It’s a great place. You do have to pay with a credit card to get in, $6 per car. You can also get in with your yearly pass.”

“My favorite place to take a quick trip , Relax and clear my mind. Kids love it!! Nothing like getting them out and about for some fresh air and exploring. I wish everyone would pick up after themselves though it’s very sad to see such a beautiful place being mistreated 😞Let’s keep it beautiful everyone 😀”

“We’ve had a wonderful experience staying here! Nancy and Chase are such wonderful people, and they have been so helpful. The amenity center is absolutely gorgeous! The bathrooms are beautiful and clean (including an ADA bathroom and shower). The amenity center also has on-site laundry, vending machine, an on-site dog park, a package delivery box, and a homey “coffee shop” aesthetic communal area for visiting or to use the Wi-Fi. There’s also a wonderful stretch of fenced in synthetic turf off the back porch for kids to play and for families to gather! The view of the valley from the RV spot locations is spectacular! It’s in a perfect location (just a short drive to Denton and Gainesville), but is still nice and quiet as it’s tucked in the country. It has a wide concrete entrance without any obstructions making entering and exiting with an RV very easy. Time slows down here. It really is a little slice of Heaven.”

“Saw a warbler I could not identify. A pretty young woods without much undergrowth. The largest tree along the path is a very nice, big white oak. Lots of pin oaks and red maples. A good number of young American elms. Some swamp white oaks and scarlet oaks. Pretty peaceful though slight road noise everywhere in the park. Entry way is tall shrubs on both side giving a secret maze feel. Has a creek but no other wetlands. Some really big cardinal flower at one point at a bridge across the creek.”

“This is now a campground owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is being refurbished by volunteers and turning out very nice! Any member of the church can reserve a site and invite friends. It is also used for many boys and girls camps during the summer. It's very beautiful and the amenities are constantly improving! They even have an 8-person cabin with AC and everything!”

“This is a small 0.4 mile (1,000-step) neighborhood park where we often take walks on their trail paths and get a good workout! There are several outdoor exercise equipment for your use (sorry forgot to take pictures). There’s a jungle gym and swings for kids in great condition practically new. This is an open green space to get fresh air, one of our favorite parks in the area. There are four party pavilions that you can rent, and use their barbecue grills. There are picnic tables with benches throughout the park, some are shaded. There are several garbage cans throughout the park, please use them help keep our parks clean! The parking lot gets filled quickly on the weekends! Please note no dogs allowed in this park. This park is small, there are no bathrooms. Overall a very nice park, it serves our needs. Please be vigilant while walking on these trails some of the cement is uneven and you can trip and fall.”
