“I had a really good dinner with my wife. We choose 5 course menu which costs 80€ pp. While doing the reservation, you pay 20€ pp. Our table is on the upstairs and atmosphere is really really nice. Service is not fast or slow, you wait just enough for the next course. We choose an Argentinian white wine and enjoy a lot. Ireland oysters are also tasty with their special sauce. I would recommend this place bit keep in mind that reservation is highly required.”

“Can’t speak to any of the food as our party stopped in to enjoy a coffee while we waited for a scheduled event. The hosts got us in immediately and the ordering from your phone with a QR code meant you could have minimal interruptions before, during, and after your food. The coffees were good and so was the muffin. Bit steep on price for water at 3,50€ for a small bottle so I definitely recommend going to a Spar or Lidl and carrying your own water with you. That goes for anywhere in this city. Overall, we enjoyed it and it gave us a good break from the wind while we waited. Really enjoyed it.”

“We found this amazing restaurant by chance when walking around. And we had the most wonderful dinner experience in town. The food was very good, we ordered a mixed grilled mixed with beef, sausage and chicken. “One of the best steak restaurants I’ve ever been to. We didn’t reserve our table. The staff welcomed us, took our coats and gave us a seat on a big leather couch next to a fireplace. The food came on a wooden tray and was served directly on it. We had short barbecue ribs and a fillet. Both delicious. They came with a jacked potato and a small salad. Perfect way to finish a long day of walking around. This restaurant is just off one of the many roads full of bars and clubs. It’s on the canal. Easy to get to, quiet, average prices. Highly recommended. Book in advance when possible.”

“Super place, excellent food and above all outstanding team! We were a large group so we got steak platters, duck platters, prawn, and salmon and everyone loved their meals! The cocktails were very creative and delicious and we all got cheesecake at the end which was lovely (could be a bit more creamy as a texture though but still flavors were great). The team supporting our table was beyond! Julian was the main person helping us but another team member as well, we didn't catch the name, but they were phenomenal. Super friendly, helpful, fun and authentic in their reactions so we loved them. The chef was close to our table and he was more than happy to serve us prawns which we thought were no longer available, even after we ordered something else. The team went really above and beyond to make sure we were happy, especially Julian. The place is good but, really, the team makes you more than happy that you visited. And the music is nice, I must add. Definitely recommended, especially for the staff!”

“Brilliant vibe this place and a must visit while in Amsterdam. Yes, smoking is freely welcome, but no tobacco inside, please, as most smoking cafes in Amsterdam promote. Whether sitting inside or outside, this place just has a certain feel and confirmation that you're in Amsterdam. Make sure you check out the back wall promoting all celebrities that have visited the Bulldog. Pumping music, live bands adding to the cool atmosphere. You need to pay to use the toilet, but it is worth the donation once you see the style. Be careful, though, after a few beers and smoke as stairs are steep. Enjoy this Amsterdam classic! We visit every time we come to Amsterdam and are never disappointed. 5 stars as always from me.”
