“Some would say that a park is a park. One park is much like another, yet I beg to differ. Cave Creek Park - Cactus was a wonderful experience. The place was clean - even the restrooms were very clean, and the grounds well kept. It was obvious that this particular park was used by homeless folks trying to take a load off, and that they did in a very well behaved and un-harassed environment. My hat is off to the management for not trying to be the next neighborhood commandant and causing problems. Everyone benefited by the old fashioned mind my own business philosophy, and enjoyed a wonderful day.”

“Beautiful this time of your. Good neighborhood, good people at the park. Very kid friendly. Playground is less than 2 years old and shaded. Bathrooms available, but may want to bring your own water. Fountain is ok but bottled water is your best option.”

“Great park good for both little kids and big kids. The park is well maintained. Not so sure about another post there are no ducks here and you barely ever see homeless people here. I have gone all hours of the day too.”

“One of my favorite little hikes in town. There are multiple trails up to the top. Multiple places to park on the ground to get to a hiking trail. There’s an old foundation to some sort of building up there. It’s a nice place to go hang out on a mountain for part of a day. Great place to bring your dogs or children hiking.”

“North Mountain is a good place to hike and it have great views of the valley, it's one of our faves.”
Address: 12950 N 7th St, Phoenix, AZ 85022, USA
“Great hiking spot. Steep but not too difficult. Plenty of parking at the visitors center or there is another parking lot just a bit further south where there are pavilions for picnics. It connect to other hiking trails if you wanted to make a day of hiking in Phoenix. Clean restrooms and lots of info to be learned at the visitors center. There are flat paths between the two mountains so it is hike friendly to those that do not want to go up mountains. Shaw Butte is the back mountain and North mountain preserves is in the front. The front of one is under construction at the time but looks like its gonna be a beautiful facelift when done. That one has a paved pathway the whole way to the top.”

“Great place to come and just sit and reflect on life, great place to meet other people. Plenty of shade to get out the heat, plenty of bathrooms to relieve yourself and refreshing water fountains. There are soccer, football and baseball areas for practice or bring your team and challenge another. It's a great park I'd love to meet you here sometime and talk about Jesus”

“I like the variety of terrain. the fact that it is minutes from my home allows me more opportunities to hike. I usually hike early morning so the odds of seeing wild life are much greater. This season I've come across Three different side winders (rattlesnakes) One I almost stepped on, but he let me know I was getting to close that rattle will bring you back from deep thought which is another reason I hike. It's great way to air your brain. Happy hiking see you on the trail”

“One of my favorite in city hikes. Narrow dirt path - steep in places - breathtaking views of the Valley of the Sun - up and down in less than one hour - it’s a winner of a hike!!!!!”

“It's a nice park - big and clean with a playground and bathrooms. I really like the walking paths and how easy it is to get to a hiking trail! There's also a huge Ramada, and the playground is covered with awnings. I saw a ton of people in the large fields playing with dogs. Plus there was a cute community garden that was pretty big!”

“Nice park for an evening or early morning walk with our dog. Popular enough that we can meet other dog owners and socialize our puppy, but a large enough park that you can avoid other dogs if you so choose.”

“My kids and husband and I had an amazing time here. The admission is very affordable I think it’s like $8 or something. They supply life jackets for kids that didn’t bring any which is great because our fist time going I didn’t know they had a large pool. Overall it’s a very clean water park. We’ll be coming back soon.”

“Brought my two daughters to the park for a picnic during the week. They pretty much had the playground all to themselves. The playground equipment was in good condition and the grounds were well maintained. No problem with a few of the homeless people there who kept to themselves. Bathrooms on site. There is a veranda and two BBQ grills on site but not close to the playground. About 8 to 10 good size shade trees. All in all we had a good time. It was safe during the day and I would go back again. Around six that afternoon there was a soccer game ready to take place. A baseball field and plenty of grassy open spaces.”
