“The place is very busy. It recently opened so that's understandable on many levels. It took longer than expected to get our takeout order but the employees were nice and friendly and I could see they were hustling and trying to keep up with the rush. Even with all the people (several of which were complaining about the length of time), our food came out great! We were missing one side of sauce but thankfully we have the sauce at home, so no biggie. I was pleasantly surprised that my ahi tuna sandwich and onion rings were cooked to perfection. We enjoyed our food and the kind service while at the restaurant. I put their menu photos for reference because I forgot to take some of my own. We'll return again! (Oh!! Parking is a royal pain in the arse. But that's not the employees fault!)”

“The food is delicious when the service is good. We were seated and then we just sat there. No one ever came over to take even our drink orders. As if that that wasn’t enough, they took the order of a big table that came in after us, then had people come in even later than that. The other side of the restaurant didn’t even have anyone sitting there, so it wasn’t packed.. Updated: Just don’t go when they’re busy because they’re short staffed. When it isn’t packed, service is amazing and food is good when served fresh. Unfortunately during our last visit the food was served somewhat cold and the sauce was even thickening because of it not being hot, so we will not be returning. But we have eaten here when it’s been served hot and it’s delicious at those times.”

“This was my first visit. My wife has eaten there many times. She goes there with her mother, whenever she is in town. I had a beef and bean burrito. The burrito was huge and stuffed with delicious slow cooked beef. My wife had Mole enchiladas and she said they were also delicious. We loved our meals, but it was the service made the evening special. 3 chips before the our chips ran out, a bus boy was there to offer a refill. Katie was our waitress and she was perfect. Charming, attentive and articulate. Katie listened, answered our questions and made recommendations. She was on point with everything. She didn’t hover, but she was always there with a smile before we realized we needed something. When you go, ask for Katie, She is awesome!”

“Great seafood. We came in on Friday right as they were opening. The food came out hot and fresh and tasted great. I had the shrimp and crawfish and my wife had snow crab legs. Everything tasted great and the prices were reasonable depending on what you wanted. I think that day the king crab was like $70 a lb. The shrimp and the snow crab were much easier on the wallet. The restraint was clean and the food came quick. Very great staff and friendly/helpful servers. I would come back for sure”

“I went to The Butchered Beet this week and loved all my meals. I live a busy life so having meals already prepared for lunch & dinner was amazing and delicious. I was able to get a variety of meals and everything was excellent. The owners and the staff were able to answer all my questions, the heating instructions we self explanatory & and you can definitely tell they make everything from their heart. “I forgot to get photos of the food but we always order the chicken. Always fresh and perfectly fried. The Ranch dressing on the french fries is so good, I could drink that ranch as a smoothie! BBQ sauce sweet with a little heat is the perfect compliment to the chicken. I like the Cole slaw perfect little size and the prefect crunch. Service was outstanding. We have been coming to this place for 20 years and never disappoints. I was a little sad to see the end of the Mushroom, Zucchini, onion ring combo its its one of my favorites. This was the first time we ever got the Strawberry Shortcake and it was big enough for a family of 5 to share.”

Beware that this location is on campus and therefore becomes very busy during lunch (except during the summer). I don't typically review fast food locations, however the staff here is awesome. Many of those that take orders up front will remember regulars by their first names, ready to input their usual order. Special shout out to Dorota, who is as genuine and as hard-working as it gets. Plus, Miss Patty is always there keeping the spot squeaky clean and ready to ask customers how they are doing. At the end of the day, you already know that the food is going to be good, but swing by here for a great experience along with the delicious chicken!”
