“One of the gems of Long Beach, Fremont Elementary showcases the best in public education. The teachers are experienced and enthusiastic. The parents are motivated to re-enforce the lessons at home and work closely with the teachers. The PTA is one of the best asset for the school. My son is finishing his first year at Fremont as a kindergartener. He has gone from not reading at all to reading at the second grade level in one year. His teacher has already introduced fractions and multiplication to him, and he has written his own books. The school has a strong sense of community, and everyone works together to foster this community spirit.”

“The Bbq chicken sandwich hit the spot. Theres a few sandwich options you can order from along with soups. This place carries so many pastries. From other reviews and customers I came across, macaroons are their #1 seller. I'll be coming back to try a few pastries. The service girls were great. They were patient and knowledgeable of everything they had in stock. Theres a few tables inside the restaurant were you can sit and enjoy your food. Forgot to mention this is a an empty shopping center. The center looks abandoned. It's right next to smart and final.”

“First time checking this place out and WOW! Is it ever on point and so much more! The vibrations and the aura this place holds is phenomenal! So many vibrational light beings inside this POWERHOUSE! Being bi racial and unfamiliar with our culture, we have strived to find communities that connect us with our African-American heritage and Compound has a way of doing that in so many facets. With the support of local black artists, and so many offerings within The Healing Arts Ministry, this place is most definitely a NEW FOUND HOME AWAY FROM HOME! Have been following their newsletter for many months familiarizing ourselves with what they offer and when we heard that there was a monthly open mic that definitely sparked our interests! Writing is an art form and it was such a pleasure to get on that stage and share our words with others. It was a quaint group with a little over 10 performers. We enjoyed the writing prompts and the time that we were given to jot down ideas. This event will be our go-to, as it is a safe, inclusive place to share our words with all. (Not only that, this open mic was different than the rest, in that the co-host was celebrating her bday.) If we're not mistaken her name was Shelly? EVERY WORD SPOKEN touched our hearts. The inspiration, the rawness, the depth...she combined it all in a way that touched every orifice of our being. We truly enjoyed the mixture of multi media compositions including: dance, music, fire, spoken word, digital flower visuals and the POWER OF THE SWORD. It was such an honor to experience this with her. HER ONENESS! HER CLARITY! HER PASSION! The journey in which she has partaken in, is one that we will never EVER forget! Her words we will never forget, each one wrapped around this body like the veins.COMPOUND WE WILL NEVER FORGET! Thank you THANK YOU for this gift. Thank you for reawakening our own self love! (The flowers that you gave to the audience members have been placed in the center of our altar, and will be dried and kept as a memory of you.) As Shelly says "Hovering near love is a habit not a vow. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. All my worst pain came from not trusting my truth." “I had intense pain over the weekend around the bridge area. I called Dr Lee’s office on Monday (today) at 8AM and I was given an appointment on the spot. I saw Dr Lee who explained to me everything in detail (after taking x-rays) and she ensured for me an appointment the same day with an orthodontist, since the issue seems to be related to a possible need for a root canal. I went to see him too. My experience is over all very positive and I am grateful to have such a caring dentist and a caring staff too!!!”

“I very much enjoyed both the coffee and staff at Common Room Roasters. The customer service was wonderful, I could tell that Grayson (sp?) genuinely enjoyed interacting with the guests. I have been a loyal patron for years dating back to when they opened in Newport Beach and it is no surprise to see this place gaining such a loyal following. “It's been awhile since I've had a real quality burger. I almost forgot how satisfying they can be. The Fire Belly burger was pretty great. The potato bun, pickled Thai chilies and the arugula were perfect but the absolute star was the burger patty. It was cooked to a nice medium and I could tell that it was hand formed since it was not one of those overworked compacted beef pucks you get at a fast food burger place. The Pig N Fries were crispy, well seasoned and hot. The bacon, ranch and green onions on top just took this side above and beyond your regular side of fries. My girlfriend had the Cali Burger. It looked delicious as well. She really enjoyed it and said she would definitely want to come back to try a few more items on the menu.”
