“Hello How is everybody doing? Fine I hope. My name is Erica Sutton I live in a Salvation Army with my kids we have been homeless for eight months. My caseworker can not help me with housing. I seen her today she was telling me if my therapist can sign off for a mental voucher then me and my kids can get a place it can take up for two months.. She is with the whole child in Los Angeles there has been a lot of lies and feel like me and my kids are being used and not heard. I finally got my kids in the YMCA. They told me they can't help with Section 8... There been a lot of gossiping about other people and I don't want no parts in it. I have kids and I just want us to have a place where we can call home. My kids and myself are tired from moving place to place shelter to shelter motel to motel. We are thankful but we just want our apartment and not have to shared with anyone. I just don't want any dealing with the whole child on Whittier they did me and my family wrong the whole staff and the residents there. I'm here at this shelter on whittier... There days I don't speak my case manager or caseworker. I talk to my therapist. We really need help.. I didn't know that they were scams... When they see you down they talk about you and laught and have other people gang up on you want to know your business... I don't trust know of them but God. If anybody know any low income please let me know cause this place is not what it seem like. I am African and American. I want a home for me and my kids .. This morning I was trying to get breakfast for my kids the lunch lady was going tell me they change the time. It always been at 6:30 why would you tell me you change it to 7:00am my kids just started the ymca today I was happy... I pray that God protect me and my kids and save us from this hell and caseworker and casemanger..... I'm in the process of looking for a job its been tough.. I ask God to help me and my kids help us with our spirit and heart and mindset and our talk. Keep the devil far from us cause I don't want to entertain him... They all wicked if u ask me...”
