“I am originally from New Jersey, and it is so hard to find an Italian Market in Orange and Los Angeles Counties. I was doing research on new restaurants, bakeries, and markets to try, and I came upon Cortina’s Italian Market. I happened to be in Anaheim, so I stopped there. The Good: They have a great selection of Italian canned goods, homemade sauces, deli options, baked goods (pastries and cookies), and bread. It reminded me of an Italian market I used to go to when I was younger. The cookies and cannolis had great flavor and they were fresh. The prices were reasonable for what I got. The Bad: Their parking lot is too small. I was lucky and found a parking space. I went on a weekday, but I can imagine how jammed it gets on the weekend. I rate all restaurants, bakeries, and markets by whether they are worth driving to in the future. I definitely think Cortina’s is worth a repeat visit, and I look forward to trying some more things the next time I am there.”

“Really delicious chicken! It’s been a while and I know why. Parking is ridiculous, their app to pre-order wasn’t working and prices are a bit steep. $34 for an 8 piece dinner to go. That aside, thanks really enjoyed the chicken and biscuits. Chicken was moist and seasoned perfectly. Mashed potatoes and gravy was good, but could easily pass. Same with Mac n cheese. Hard to say if I would go back just for chicken as it took a little over an hour to find parking, walk to the market place and wait for the food. Thankfully the parking is free for the first hour and you get an extra two with purchase and validation. They do validate at Chicken to Go and food thing they did, because past the first hour it would have been another $10.”

“YEYMI IS AMAZING! I used to get Pieology all the time in high school. I haven’t had Pieology in a while due to having a bad experience at another location. I was craving it so I decided to stop by this location. I had a GREAT experience. I always get the same order and always ask for extra extra chicken. Any other location I’ve been to, I’ve had to ask for more chicken over and over again. The location mentioned above that caused me to take a break from Pieology had an employee that gave me attitude for asking for extra. Today, I was helped by YEYMI and she was so sweet. I didn’t even have to ask for more chicken. She understood what I meant when I said extra extra, haha. I will definitely come back to this location in particular due to having such a great experience. Employees really do make a difference when trying to retain customers. I have always loved the food at Pieology, but took a long break due to one upsetting experience. I will definitely be getting my Pieology fix more often now!”

“This is a hidden treasure for sure. You are greeted by everyone upon entering with a smile. I got a carnitas burrito as it seemed like the stable here. I can tell you that the burrito is straight up meat and nothing but. The tortilla was cooked to perfection and wasn't soft as others or overly crunchy it seems fresh and hand mad. The plant based burgers come with free French fries - very eco- friendly idea. The caramelized onions made both burgers even better. There is good outdoor and inside seating. Edwin our server was cordial and delivered our food fast. The French fries weren’t greasy and were crunchy and good. They are a big portion and heated up well when I took half of them home. We were invited back to Mamas. by their general manager Melissa after a less than stellar experience during the summer for my husbands birthday brunch. She promised they would do better and they delivered. The Korean BBQ tater tots were superb. Our main courses Fish and Chips for me and All American Beach Melt for my hubby were both tasty and cooked well. Portion size was huge and we took half of it home for tomorrow! I gave the restaurant 5 stars for this amazing bit of customer service recovery. The food was really good. Nice atmosphere with TVs playing a variety of things. Cool patio with fire pits. Nice choice for a family outing (it would be a bit pricey but entrees are huge and sharing is a great option. I’m glad we gave it another try.”

“Delightful little speakeasy tucked behind a Pizza Place. Happy Hour gets you $3 off a pizza and discounted drinks/apps, try the flat bread and ricotta. Entrance is on the rear side of the building in the parking lot, past the wood pile, and through a wooden door that is usually propped open. You can also enter through the restaurant if you walk past the bathrooms and through the private party room in the back. Not an enormous place: standard sized but well equipped bar, 2 couches and coffee tables, and maybe 10 tables that two people could eat at or 4 people stand around. You can order off the pizza place's menu for food, the drinks never run much more than $12-15 and they're exactly what you'd want. Martini variations, egg white gin fizzes, whiskey and/or whisky concoctions. Unless you've reserved the private room I would say it's not an ideal for large groups. A group of 30 or so came in to wait for dinner in the private room while I was there. Poor bartenders were swamped and there's no dedicated wait staff so those of us eating dinner were stuck in limbo while the mojito assembly line was running. Bartender was super apologetic once it cleared out again, continued to give great service. Tips: a single pizza is probably enough to split with someone if you're also getting appetizers. Grilled cauliflower is a little spicy but delicious. A Vesper is just Martini with Lillet Blanc, so be careful.”
