“It could be cleaner but it's clean enough. I can't complain as they don't charge cleaning fee. I didn't mind washing the dishes and putting the trash in the dumster on the street upon check out. The hot tub instruction is for something with jet. I've seen pictures of Cabin 26 with a jet tub. It's no longer jet. I enjoyed it regardless. It was the fastest and more relaxing way to warm up after being out and about in the cold. It also says to fill it with hot water only. That's too hot. I've read reviews that they had to wait till it gets a little colder. There are 2 knobs, hot and cold so I filled it with my desired temperature. Also we tried to follow the check out instructions. My husband checked for somethings to turn off or shut but he did check it and didn't find any knob or anything to shut off. Maybe some updates on the instructions would make it less confusing. We couldn't figure out how to lock the door too. Long press on # sign is the key. You have to do it from the outside. They have enough cook ware for cooking but the burner fire is low so it took us longer to cook our bacon. Would have been easier to just bake it but they only have small baking pan to reheat our bread. Anyway, if you're just there for the weekend it's better to eat out. We only cooked once but it was good to be able to reheat our soup and left over food in the microwave and reheat our bread in the oven. I've read reviews about the heater smelling like gas but it didn't, the burner and the stove did though as you start using it. Had to open the exhaust fan in the bathroom and open some windows to let the smell out. The check out instruction suggests that there was a humidifier. They don't anymore. We brought ours. Yes, you have to bring your beddings and towels, including mats and rugs to wipe the floor but we didn't mind, we're more comfortable bringing our own beddings and towels anyway. Cabin 21-26 is located in a more quiet and peaceful location by the woods on Tulip Lane unlike Cabin 1-18, probably Cabin 1-20 which are by the busy street. Cabin 26, our cabin was the best, it's the end cabin, we had neighbor on the left but not on the right. Cabin 21 and 22 is on top of each other so if you want some privacy avoid that. Overall we love our Cabin. It's so worth it for the price.”

“I was concerned to take my 7 year old to this center with an asthma attack because of the online reviews, but I had no choice. Everyone from the front desk to nurses, doctors, medical students, etc. were nothing but nice and sweet. The attention they gave us was exceptional and my daughter quickly recovered due to their care. We were out of the door healthy in a couple of hours.”

“Our family thoroughly enjoyed the time spent at Golden Bear Cottages. There are similar cottage/cabin accommodations in the immediate area, but we found this site to fit our needs very well. The cottages are all unique and can sleep large groups down to a couple. Our cottage had a good, working heater, fireplace, two bedrooms, 3 beds, and a full kitchen. The best part was the in-unit jetted tub! We also enjoyed exploring the grounds and playing in the snow.”

“We are super happy with our experience staying at the Lakewood Cabins; it was such a cozy, personal and welcoming experience. We stayed in cabin 9, and it was very comfy and cute. The decor was very personalized and homey, and was stocked with anything we could need. It was a perfect retreat for two people. Jennie is such a great host and was very helpful and responsive. We were greeted by the on-site manager Dave when we arrived, and he was so friendly and helpful! He also built a bonfire outside at night which made it feel even more homey and welcoming. We had such a nice and relaxing trip here and would highly recommend the Lakewood Cabins to anyone looking for a Big Bear getaway!”

“I had the most pleasant transaction buying a home in Big Bear. We are very rarely home so wanted to buy somewhere we could potentially rent out as well so Big Bear was a great option. Laura found some great potential properties based off what I asked and we bought a home! Closed escrow 2 days ago! She was always on time and made time in her schedule for when WE needed. “Fun place to come watch sports, especially football on Sunday’s. Service was quick and food came out timely. Restroom is very old and outdated compared to the rest of the building and could definitely be remodeled to match, it looks a little like it’s from the 80’s. My only two downsides were my fries weren’t super hot when they came out, no one likes cold fries. Also, the nachos could use REAL shredded cheese instead of canned nacho cheese, especially for the price. I do like the refill station for soda instead of waiting for a server to attend to my empty glass. I would come again!”

“Every detail of my purchase was excellent. Brandon showed me a spa in the showroom that met all our needs. Travis came out and evaluated my job site and set up a flawless delivery. The delivery was amazing. They have special dolly's to move your spa eliminating an expensive crane. Their care and consideration of your spa was amazing. Travis and crew came out to install the cover lift and chemical demonstration. He is the consummate professional. I highly recommend this company. I also recommend the hot springs spa. “This is an excellent little restaurant in Big Bear. First off, I cannot emphasize enough how on-point the service is. They were apologizing for shorter delays shorter than most restaurants would even have. Second, the food is awesome! It may be hard to mess up pancakes or french toast, but it's also hard to elevate them, and yet they did just that. Also, their sausages are light and not greasy, and I loved their hot chocolate.
