“The service was polite and friendly, yet unobtrusive. The food was created in-house and was flavorful, of the right temperature and abundant, but not overwhelming. And this flan was given to me by the staff because it was my birthday! They even sang to me. What a lovely surprise!”

“After walking past a couple of rather pretentious looking venues along the road, we put all our eggs in one basket in hoping Beachside would be the place for brunch - and it was spot on! Delicious food, and fabulous coffee. Lovely staff to boot. A great place to start before taking on a walk around Golden Gate Park.”

“Service was wonderful. This place would really have some great views during the day / early evening. Huge windows with great views. Food was good, I especially enjoyed the crab cakes.”

“The location of this store is perfect, less than a five-minute walk from the beach and a perfect place to grab a sandwich and take it with you. Isn't too expensive even though they easily could be since there is no other sandwich shop in the area. The food is tasty and could feed 1-2 people. The service is great and it's in a very comfortable area.”

“If you haven't tried an Indian pizza then you are in for a treat!! I highly recommend this place. Me and my wife are normally quite content with the small size but this all depends on your hunger level. The taste of Indian spice mixed with the pizza dough is amazing. Their service is quick and painless. A well deserved 5 stars. Keep it up guys I will be back ????”

“We asked for a table for 6, were seated at a great corner table. Wait staff very attentive, took our drink orders quickly and returned with them just as fast. Everything about this visit was great. Our orders arrived quickly without mistakes, coffee refilled without asking. Food was top notch. The only things that could have been better, was if the clouds had lifted and the rain stopped, but then again, we didn't ask????”

“I like the little breakfast place. Always crubbin and yummy. Staff is always nice and coffee is always filled. Yummy yummy yummy. Update. Last time I was here we sat at the table for a good six minutes before deciding to get up and walk out.. They weren't even busy. Then the waiter response to me saying we are leaving was rude. I've been coming here for many years and the waiter just blew us off wasn't a good feeling at all. Is this how you get to treated being a patron for many years at this place. I'll still leave my five stars rating up there because it is good food and a good place to eat. But I won't be back”

“The second time I visit the beer chalet. Great location and excellent selection of beers. Upstairs is more upscale. Downstairs is perfect for happy hour. The kids can play in the newly renovated park while you adults indulge in good tasting 6 dollars cocktails and appetizers. The beer sampler is a fun thing to do.”

“Service great, our waitress "Maya" is excellent. I had the dungeness crab. It was warm and very good. Beer selections nice, and I did get to taste several before picking one. My wife and I shared a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie a la mode. ...it was wonderful. We intended to go to our favorite "Pacific Cafe"...but thought ..maybe the Cliff House" but stopped by Beach Chalet as we drove by...and we are Very Glad we did!”

“Great Thai and sushi place. The service has always been good and the sushi has been superb. I've eaten different plates from here, including sushi, curry, and other plates, and they have always been tasty. Service is good as well.”

“Cozy atmosphere. Delicious and flavorful food. Found this place on Google maps as see were lookng for somewhere to have brunch before we went to a circus show on Treasure Island. Lots of construction in the area made it challenging to find, but it was worth it.”

“Java Beach Cafe at the Zoo: excellent Irish soda bread, the bacon and cheddar is the best. Food is good all around, good coffee and even soft serve ice cream for hot days at the beach. Sit at the bar and read the historic picture book of the building of the location for an entertaining coffee break.”

“My wife got a Groupon deal for this place and it did not disappoint. This place is mainly a brewery/distillery it seems. I had and IPA and it was really tasty. They have an extensive menu of both beers/stouts as well as alcoholic pop they call Hard Frescoes. I did not sample the booze soda but one can just pop in and buy four packs of a large selection of the liquid menu items in tallboy cans. There is also food available with a largely south of the border feel. We shared a plate of tacos and some nachos which were super delicious. There was some sort of World/techno music playing which did not offend me. Big screen TVs to zone out on sports. The location is a bit out there, but it is easily accessible from the N-Judah. Because it is deep in the Sunset, street parking is probably pretty chill. I highly recommend this establishment and plan on going back for a night out very soon!”

“We visited both bakery cafes on Pier 39 and the one on Jefferson Street. The latter one is the nicer one with the bistro upstairs and museum. The museum is very nice and definitely worth a visit. As far as the food is concerned: Loved the bread and chowder in a bowl. Btw, food is pretty much the same in both places”

“We come here almost annually on Christmas day, as they are open and we are in the area. It's very packed that day so expect a wait in line. Otherwise, clean, fun atmosphere and wait staff are friendly and helpful. Great views from the restaurant. That said, it took FOREVER to get out food. Other than that it was a pleasant lunch.”

“Super cute location. The use of containers with rolling doors and glass walls is great. And the VIEW... THE VIEW is fantastic... the best view you can find: city skyline, bay bridge, golden gate bridge! Lots for adults and kids to do.”

“Nice spot to find on Pier 39. A nice sit down bar, with a lot of visual items to look at. You can get a flight of local SF beers on tap, super nice bartender. They have a menu here, we got a loaf of bread and butter just to hold us over. I really like this place, if you plan on a Pier 39 day, lunch here can break up the day. Job well done!”
