“A beautiful slice of nature perfect for a walk. Occasionally you might see a coyote. Stay out of the long grass, though: it has lots of deer ticks which will be most happy to surreptitiously climb up your leg and burrow their way into your skin.”

“If you go out the back side of the parking lot instead of towards the bathrooms, you can cross arastradro to the main part of the preserve. Via this entrance there is more shade and narrower steeper paths, although also more evidence of horse traffic... The parking lot and paths aren't too busy early-ish on weekday mornings, but I haven't braved the weekends at all.”

“Just a simple walking trail amidst rolling hills and California oak savannah. Kestrel sittings and handsome scenery - walk was over fairly quickly. Not at all strenuous but an enjoyable place to walk and facilities and interpretive displays well done. Clean bathrooms and good drinking water resources.”

“Beautifully maintained cemetery in palo alto. Some of the plots are out in the open, others are in more shaded areas under large trees. Walking around the grounds you get a hint of peoples stories, their history and the history of the country. Its strangely beautiful to see so many generations together, like time progresses there more slowly and 10 generations interact instead of just 3.”

“As the sign says, this park is connected to Turman middle school, and the school has first dibs on it during school hours, but it is open to the public. Beautiful tennis courts and full court basketball. Soccer goals set up in huge field, could do with a bit of repair. Theres a lot of wide open space beside for all kinds of activities. Also, theres a pedestrian walkway leading out of it down a nice path so you don’t have to walk along the street. Its next to a cemetery.”

“Pretty nice, good that it has sections for big and small dogs. Unfortunately, people don't think to take their aggressive dogs out when they clearly don't play well with other dogs.”

“I used to come here and watch those world champions for kite flying and not just an ordinary kite but they're riding in a kite buggy that flies with them about 6 to 7 feet. It's a very exciting sight. Well, the guy got married and his wife won't let him do it anymore and the other got old and it's too dangerous for him to do it so he stopped. During summer time, it's a place I'd like to go to because of the breeze. It's always windy even there's no wind inland. It's a big area for flying kites but if there's a concert, they use the area as a parking lot.”

“Great place to go fly a kite with no obstructions (unless you have a power kite and get pulled across the parking lot into the high voltage lines... don't do that). Parking is always easy and plentiful here. I have never had to pay a fee to get into the park. I would give this place 5 stars if it had a windsock somewhere.”

“It's a very nice modernized park they have three exercise machines for adults or or older kids looks like a beautiful playground the sun is shining my my picnic was extremely Pleasant. And there are also several picnic tables benches and the small picnic table I had my lunch on has a chess checkerboard. There is a slides swings or rock for rock climbing play structures couple of giant frogs very nice place for I would say kids 9 and under and their parents can exercise while the kids play. There is very very good sun exposure here as it is January 16th 2018 and it feels like it's 70 degrees out here right now.”

“LOVE this. Not a lot of parking available. The lusciousness of the area makes up for the lack of parking.”

“Great nature, moderate hiking and possible to have long or short walking and running. Finding parking is really hard and most if them get full really fast. You can park in do far streets or around allies just carefully because Stanford can fine you and before park check all signs in the place. Carpool is the best option.”

“It is a beautiful lake side park. Walking along side the lake is a great experience. Good tracks for biking. Good boating facility. There are so many other different activities can be done here. There is enough parking here including parking for handicapped people. Rest room facility available. Overall a very nice place to spend good time with the kids and family and friends. I liked it.”

“This is one of the nicest parks tucked away with very few crowds. Great for families with small children. There is a nice play structure with monkey bars, swings, and slides. A large grassy area is fun for running and playing ball. The park is nestled in an area owned by Stanford University. That might be why it's such a quiet park. I went here recently to meet a family for a photo session. It was a great place with a variety of backdrops for fun portraits. Just follow Google maps and be sure to park in a designated area because many streets are for home owners only. Again, if you're looking for a nice, low-foot-traffic park, this could be the one!”
