“Excellent spot for a group of friends / family for brunch. The menu has lots of different options, but as you scroll through these reviews, you’ll probably be fascinated by the different coffee flavors and the bone marrow. The experience to try these items are awesome, but overall, it still felt like 4 stars to me. Here’s why - the coffees (I tried quite a few different ones with a shared table) nearly all tasted too sweet or WAY too sweet (beware for those that have more sensitivities to sweets ;)) and bone marrow portion (at least the ones we got) were very small. I ordered the beef tongue rice dish (added bone marrow to the side) and it just tasted like a regular fried rice with a sauce on the side. It was delicious, but it wasn’t extraordinary. Price wise, for what you’re getting, it felt like 4/5 stars, but experience wise for a brunch was a cool 5/5 ambiance.”

One of the best parts of this burrito IMO are the crispy tater tots inside and they tend to get soggy if I wait to eat the burrito at home. They can also veganize these burritos if you need (no eggs, butter or cheese).”

“The wife and I got at it early, yard, projects, etc. Around 10:30, I realized I was famished. We were near the trusty Golden Arches, but didn't know if they did breakfast AND thought let's go have an impromptu date. So we traveled down to Lenise's, and we're so glad we did. The food was phenomenal, we both had Crepes and Mimosas, I also had Coffee, and with tax and tip, we were around $30. At the Arches, we would've been at $30'ish without Mimosas, and filled with less than sated with OK food and regret. You have to go check out Lenise's.”

“I’m a breakfast burrito lover and I’ve been hearing the hype of the awesomeness of the breakfast burritos here. Maybe I psyched myself too much and expected this heavenly bite of perfection. I had the bacon & sausage breakfast burrito. It was good. I would even say, pretty good. Heavenly? Not so much. The eggs/meat/potatoes (tater tots I think) ratio was good. However the tots were too mushy which took away from the texture. The house salsa was good but lacked bite. I’d give it a solid 7 (out of 10). Sorry, no pics (there are enough posted here 😊)”

“This place is a gem! It’s located in an area that desperately needed a local coffee shop/ hang out spot. 5 stars because it is dog friendly! There is a seating area in the back that’s adorable to spend some time in. The espresso is rich and smooth and the little pastries they offer are always baked perfectly! My partner enjoys the empanadas and I like the vegetable quiche. Finally, a veggie quiche that isn’t entirely composed of onions, tomatoes or mushrooms! I enjoy that it is walking distance since no other coffee shops or breakfast spots seem to be this close. Obviously, the prices are a little high for the area, but rent isn’t cheap either. I can say you do get quality for your money though. Before this coffee shop, it was a liquor store that got quite a bit of business, but we have about 4 convenience stores within walking distance from this place so it’s not missed.”

“Situated in the historic Yorba Linda train depot, we stopped in for an afternoon treat. Polly's is well known for it pie, but offers a great menu for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. While we ordered the coconut creme and banana creme pies for ourselves, at the advice of our server, we tried the boysenberry pie Ala mode warmed up and WOW! We enjoyed that together and it was a race to the last bite. My wife, being an only child, is not good at sharing, more on that in another review, but each bite was better than the last. So the boysenberry is excellent, the coconut creme pie is subtle, finishing with a smooth coconut taste and the banana creme is as expected with all of the pies having a soft, flaky, buttery crust that had you eating g the edges because it was just that good. If you find yourself in the area, this is a must do.”

“I frequently stopped here when walking around the neighborhood for either coffee and/or a sandwich. The specialty coffee is pretty good and is usually what I'd spend my money on (Rose and Lavender lattes). Some of the basic lattes are what you'd expect- nothing memorable, but out of all things their prices for coffee are low-average compared to other SF gourmet coffee shops. I really enjoy their club sandwich (this, however, is "SF normal" pricing of $13~ haha) which is hearty and delicious, especially on Dutch crunch bread. Their tamales are definitely worth stepping in for as well for a small bite. I didn't have any real problem with the service, the workers are kind and my orders accurate. I will agree they're not speedy but that's not what I come here for, mostly because I have to walk to access this café. It's right next to Chase Center, so you better believe there is absolutely no free or convenient parking. This small shop has about 3 small metal tables inside and 3 outside. Don't expect to be truly wined and dined in this establishment. One thing worth noting (and not easy to find in proximity) is a single person bathroom (for customers) that's clean and has a saved me on a few occasions. It's worth a stop for unique coffees and lunch bites!”

“Not feeling good today, and all I wanted was a really good sandwich. Mission accomplished. We recently moved to Hemet and have yet to find favorites when it comes to food establishments, Downtown Deli definitely made my list. I ordered the Turkey BLT Avocado and Cheese with a side of potato salad, my daughter ordered a classic BLT with Avocado. The total was almost $40, so I was a little shocked at that and thought, this sandwich better be worth it. It was!! It was about a 15 minute wait before our order was ready and we were on our way home. I was actually really excited to open up the takeout box and get a look at this sandwich. Let me tell you, the sandwiches are HUGE! The first bite was full of just absolutely great flavor, honestly the BEST sandwich I've ever had!! The blend of salt, pepper, and oregano mixed with the avocado and fresh produce was just so freaking good. The potato salad was almost as good as my mamas and that says ALOT! It was just really so good. I thought 15 minutes was a long wait, but now I get it. These sandwiches are made with love and pride and you can taste it. During those 15 minutes I took some time to learn about the owner of the Deli, Stephen. I had to hold back tears after learning about how involved he was with his community and how loved he was by the community. He passed in 2019 and I'm just really happy that his legacy is being carried on. He would be so proud of the great job you are all doing at Downtown Deli, such a welcoming atmosphere, built with love for sure. I highly, highly recommend Downtown Deli.”
