“Fantastic place to visit while in San Diego if you’re looking for a sightseeing destination. The park ranger staff are super helpful and great at explaining the history of this area and guiding you through the museum portion of the visitor’s center. I highly recommend visiting Cabrillo National Monument Visitor’s Center and the surrounding areas to anyone that is passing through the San Diego area or visiting.”

“This place is great. Nice trail. Lots of variety of trees from Black Oak, Cedar, Pines,Yerba Santa Bushes, and cool lookout. No bathroom. But it has benches and picnic tables. Parking on streets limited. Bus stop across street. Chain link closes area off. We parked outside and by Pinecrest Christian Conference. No trash can though. I take trash in and out.”

“If rack and ruin is your thing (and who doesn't dig on that?), this is the place for you. It's been vandalized and graffitoed, and it's crumbling, but it's still interesting. I can find no information on it, but would love to know its history and why it is called a mansion, because it certainly is not a mansion. It is fenced off, so if you want to get close you will have to trespass.”

“Fantastic place! My 2 year old was so engaged and loved exploring every bit. It was so nice to take her to a place where she could run around and touch and explore everything. There were lots of people and a couple schools visiting on our visit, but there was lots to do and nothing seemed super crowded. Seriously fantastic!”

They make you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in. Don't be afraid to ask about anything there as they are very knowledgeable. Great place for kids!”
