“Great place to camp in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Beautiful views, well maintained trails. Clean restroom facilities. Not much litter but I always bring extra bags to pack out more than I packed in. Remember to check ahead for fire bans. Not many bugs but bring sunscreen and drinking water. Take nothing but pictures leave nothing but footprints.”

“Great campground! Spent 4 days here. Most of the sites are near a stream (I think sites 10, 11, and 12 are the closest) which was really nice to fall asleep to each night. Bathrooms were really clean vault toilets. Access to tons of trails nearby. Highly recommend!”

“Very nice campground. Excellent lakeside camping with electric. The camp host was extremely friendly and helpful.”

“It may not be the most impressive mountain lake you’ll see in RMNP, but I enjoyed that the hike and time at this lake was calmer and had much less traffic than many of the cliche hikes in the park. The lake is surrounded by trees and craggy mountains are close to give some awesome lake reflections. I had a very enjoyable hike, which I began from the Fern Lake TH.”

“We will be staying here for 10 days. The park is clean. It's easy foe a 38ft rv, towing a car to get around. We love it.”

“Right off the road and easy to find. Our scouts were able to start a fire in the fire pit and climb the rocks here. There was a short walk to the fishing lake which was nice. The camp sites are a bit close for my taste but easy to get to.”

“The campground was very nice and well kept. It was super busy, though. With only 8 spots you will be lucky to find one open. Camped Mon-Thurs and there was never a free spot for longer than 5 minutes. Good luck, if you get in, it's great.”

“Great campground if you're looking for a paid site with toilets and water. The location is beautiful and there's even dispersed camping if you hike a bit back, along the river. The lady that tends the ground and takes payment is a bit strange and will talk your ear off, but she keeps the grounds nice and has firewood for sale and lots of great information!”

“One of the best and most easily accessible Alpine trails with a plethora of wild flowers during early-mid summer. Always critter sightings.”
Address: Estes Park, CO 80517, USA
“Beautiful views from the upper eastern site and close stream access from the lower western site with a rustic privy in between them. Both are suitable for tents and hammocks and a close walk from the main trail.”

“Good clean hotel. Four stars because of the freeway noise and no microwave or black out drapes in room. Front desk staff was awesome and attentive. Pool was nice.”

“Nice place, easy to get to but FAR AWAY from water and lots of day hikers.”

“Really not bad at all booked a yurt and it was pretty cold at first and the path way was not a path because of the snow ... I fell pretty hard and got hurt pretty well but they sent people out to make some steps and put salt down to help a bit. Over all not too bad of an experience. Probably way better in the summer time lol”

“Beautiful, but mosquitos despite elevation. Few more people than I expected due to multiple campgrounds.”
