Clean and sanitized rooms which is very appealing 4. Decent breakfast 5. Shuttle from hotel to 42nd Street was big breather. This is good option if you want to beat newyork traffic and parking. Shuttle charges 3.5$/ person.”

“Excellent memorial! It is hard to honor an event that spans years and has people from every state and protectorate, but this memorial did a wonderful job in representing such a pivotal event. It was inspirational and, though not a 'moving' experience, its round design embraces the visitor and the quotes are uplifiting, helping us to understand the significance of this war. The fountains are beautiful and well situated and there is a great view of the Lincoln Monument in the distance. Turn and you will have an incredible, clear view of the Washington Monument on the Eastern side of this WWII Memorial. The best part, for me, were the smaller relief sculptures in the walls depicting various types of soldiers, war scenes and life on the home front. Take the time to look at each of these!”

“American Guest House is the absolute best Bed and Breakfast in DC! I stayed in very nice room for 2 nights while I dropped my kid off at Georgetown. “Politics and Prose is a solid classic. It's super clean, organized and has an excellent selection of books that you can't always find everywhere else. They carry both new and used. Two stories of glorious books! They also have great events, book clubs and member deals. They support a lot of local events, organizations and authors which is a plus. I've never actually had their coffee or food, just tea. But their menu does look delightful. They seemed to have a generous amount of vegetarian options. DC classic.”
