Black Point Wildlife Drive

Great place for wild life!

Great place to drive through and watch for wildlife. Plenty of good spots to stop and get out along the road.

The lazy person's drive. It was WONDERFUL!!! The visitors center is extremely clean (bathrooms, too)!! The staff was helpful with the drive we wanted that day. They drew up our map & we were off for our adventure. The gift shop is full of keepsakes/gifts from your trek. It's $10 per car & did we DEFINITELY got our money's worth. Gators, snakes, a raccoon & her 2 little ones, platypus, cranes... I could go on & on. A friend was in from out of town. She had the time of her life, as did I !!! I sincerely encourage all to go - local or visitors. Depending on the time of year you'll see different animals, but it's a "must do" in my opinion! Go & enjoy nature as it's meant to be!!

This was a wonderful off the main path drive. I wanted to get off the well traveled road and head to the coast and bumped into Black Point Wildlife and it was a sweet little path to venture upon. This road has so much to offer before bring you to the manatee hot spot. Definitely a spot to add on your road trip and get off the highway and hit the back roads when driving in or out of Florida. The roads gliding along the coast a thousand times better. Only question ... pick a coast.

As a photographer I think this is a great spot to visit. I have been going to the drive for almost 20 years now and always end up with some amazing shots of wildlife. It is never over crowed and I can take my time moving through and getting the best shots I can.
