“Tampa really does have such a great network of dog parks. My dog and I enjoyed this park a lot. Picnic island is kind of off in a strange industrial part of south tampa. But once you are there it’s a well maintained park with picnic tables, benches, and a few hoses to wash your dog off. The area is fenced in down to the water, but as other have mentioned there is a hole in the fence at the end of the park that they patched up with plastic netting but any dog who is not afraid of water can easily wade right in and walk through it. That is my only complaint, otherwise great park and had a mix of Sandy beach and grass!”

“This park is lovely! My preschooler wants to come back over and over. The only complaint I have is that the boardwalk appears to be railed in, but if my children (2 and 4) stood on the lower railing and slipped, they could fall right out into the pond. I wish the bottom of the railing was attached instead of having a big hole there.”

“Great park; clean, well kept, and dappled shade. The swings and playground are underneath old oak trees so they're pleasantly shady, and there are a couple of benches right next to the play area that make it easy for a caregiver to sit and relax while easily keeping an eye on the kids as they play. There are two or three really gnarled oaks that make for a great climb. Other amenities are: basketball court with four baskets, baseball area, one covered pavilion with four picnic tables, dog park, and water fountain. I'd love to see a bathroom here, but it's a relatively small park so I imagine that it's not priority to install one.”

“Fantastic place to visit for my dog and I. Lots of trees, which ment lots of squirrels to chase and lots of shade. Plenty of places to sit while she had long stretches to explore and run. The people have done a nice job of keeping it clean. Several tennis balls should your pup want to play fetch. Lastly there is a small obstacle course that was maintained.”
