Little Manatee River State Park

Absolutely beautiful! From the amazing customer service, staff, cleanliness of the whole park including bathrooms campsites, picnic areas, parks and trails. Thanks to all of you because it was a vacation well needed and you made it perfect not only for me but my whole family great job teamwork definitely felt! Just a friendly reminder I did learn that you cannot hang a hammock in the tree because that's hindering the preservation of the trees but you are more than welcome to bring hammock poles or make your own! We will be back!

A beautiful place that is peaceful and serine. Well taken care of. Plenty of scenic trails. Some trails are more rustic then others on purpose. A must for those that are more adventurous. Kayaking, canoeing, and equestrian access. Great views and photography opportunities. Very dog friendly. The rangers at the gate give my dog a treat almost every time. The people that take care and maintain the park are wonderful.

We spent a long weekend camping at the park. This was our first visit. The park is very nice, has water and electric hookups, and very new, and clean facilities. This afternoon we took a 5 mi walk through the trails up to the river. This is a very scenic park with lots of nature and tons of trails. It was a short trip for us, and I'm sure we'll be back.

Great place to hit the trails! Be aware that there is a MAIN ENTRANCE and a "North of the river" trail entry. I suggest to go to the main entrance first, even if you are planning to hit the trails north of the river. It makes it easier to pay and obtain a map. BOTH are worth a visit either or way. Personally I will have to return to cover the remainder of the park. Was only able to complete about 8 miles on the trails. Definitely recommend visiting this Florida state park, whether you want to drive, kayak or hit the trails. If you are planning on the latter, I suggest hiking shoes vice sneakers, plenty H2O and bug spray!!! Use the facilities while in the main part of the park, I did not see any "north of the river". ENJOY.

This park had the nicest canoe/kayak docking launch that we have ever seen at a park. The Oxbow trail was a easy and short hiking trail along the river. Had several pavilions and picnic areas as well as a nice sandy beach area to dock your canoe/kayak. Had a great time and we will definitely go back!
